people familiar with toddlers
i wanted to buy Lila a tricycle for Christmas but couldn't find a traditional red one for under the tree. Andy went out yesterday to give it another shot and left a message for me saying he "was successful on the bike mission" note this wording.
he came back with a very small two-wheeler with training wheels.
If she's wearing a helmet this spring, will she avoid the certain death i fear for her?
Re: people familiar with toddlers
They have red trikes (radio flyer ones) at walmart. Our store had like 30 of them in stock.
I think she may have a very hard time balancing on a regular bike and you will spend your time holding the bike for her when she is on it.
How is her overall gross motor? Your average 2 year old doesn't have the skills to peddle- (It normally comes by 30 months)so being high up may not be great since she won't be able to do the "scoot" which allows her body to train itself to peddle.
We ended up getting Alex a tricycle for Christmas. Did you check Amazon? Do they ship to Canananada? They had a bunch of different ones.
I think putting it away for now would be best. Have you seen these before?

My OT teacher showed us a wooden one (which I couldn't find but didn't really try)
We use the old school Radio Flyer Red trikes but have the toddler bikes on our "must have" list for the fall.
i'm going to have to break this news to Andy. he'll be heartbroken. on the side it says "Got my mind on my Mommy and my mommy on my mind" Pretty sure that's what sold him on it.
That does sound like an AWESOME bike, but I will agree with others, she may still be a bit small for it.
