Holiday To Do list

What is left on your to-do list.

 Mine

Wrap Brian's stocking stuffers

Shop for Christmas dinner - we are doing a taco bar at the IL and we are bringing most of the stuff. So I have to do a Coscto and Meijer run on Wed.

Re: Holiday To Do list

  • I finished my holiday to-do's over the weekend!  Yay!  I'm done with shopping, wrapping, and baking.  Big Smile

  • I need to:

    - Go shopping tonight for a dining room table.  Smile

    - Return the iPod Nano I got H for an iPod Touch

    - Go grocery shopping for the party we're hosting on Christmas Eve and also get all the ingrediants for Christmas dinner also being held at our house.

    - Clean the house for said get-togethers

I'm so excited!  I wish it was Friday already.

  • Anything that I couldn't do online is left for me to do this week, so I have a few gifts left to buy (a couple of GCs, some stuff for the family pets, and stocking stuffers for DH, so nothing major) and a ton of baking to do.  Oh, and I guess the Christmas cards need to go out today if they're going to make it to anybody even close to before Christmas.  Oops.

I had hoped to be done with everything by today, but that obviously didn't work out for me...

  • - Find one small/cheap thing for XN that is NOT clothing or something to wear (I realized that I pretty much only got him clothes...oops. Any stocking stuffer ideas?)

    - Wrap XN's gifts

    - Finish laundry

    - Pack for Colorado

    - Try to find a time to do Christmas with my family

    - Ideally I'l like to find a new pair of jeans before leaving for CO...but that probably won't happen

  • Lets see....I have to:

Finishing wrapping a present or two.  That's pretty much it before Christmas.   I finished up everything else this past weekend.

Oh, and I have a haircut on Thursday at a new salon.  I'm kind of excited about it.

Other than that, not much.  I plan on sitting around and waiting to open presents all this week.

  • - Wrap presents

    - Purchase a few more gifts

    - Clean house/prepare food for Xmas Eve (we are hosting the in-laws)

    - Get things ready for BFF's Bday (day after Xmas)

  • Make treat for two work parties this week

Wrap non DH/Kids' gifts (might delegate to DH :-)

Figure out sides that go with a "turducken" which we are having on Christmas Eve.  What the hell is a Turducken?  DH is in charge of that.

Thaw out dough and bake cookies (fingers crossed dough makes it from freezer to refrigerator to cookie.

    Mail a few small presents

    One more grocery store visit

Upload Xmas Card to FB and S.N.B. (Sorely Neglected Blog)

Upload Xmas Card picture to my discussion board siggies

And I'd like to give a special cow bell to GB Russo & Sons.  Instead of loading up DH and parents (they stay with us on Xmas Eve and Xmas day) stockings with candy, I found some cool stuff from GB Russo for them.  Can't wait for them to see it!

Oooh, care to share what the fun stuff is? Maybe I'll stop by there this afternoon.

Let's see if I can remember?

    Polenta

risotto (I think it is instant)

    strawberry/rhubarb jelly

    plum jelly

    apple cinnamon jelly

some italian cookie I can't remember the name of

smashed up olives that you spread on bread - YUM!

submarine sandwich spread that is made of a chopped up pepper mixture

a tube of tomato paste like Giada uses

a pickle puller out of the jar thing

    small bag of coffee

    mini orange peeler thing

Those are a few I can remember at least.  I spent an hour their just combing through every aisle.  That store and anything you find in it makes me pretty durn happy.

Also, in their utensil area, check out the potato peelers that fit in the palm of your hand.  I love ours!

  • Wrapping.

Making an appetizer/treat to take to the Christmas Day celebration.

  • I wrapped stocking stuffers during nap time.  I'm not happy with my SS this year - actually none of the gifts I got Brian this year, I am all excited about. Oh well...maybe next year.
