Stocking Stuffer Ideas

My husband and I decided to get ourselves a new laptop for our Christmas present this year.  Because of the cost of it, we have decided that we would just do stockings for each other.  All of the stocking stuffer ideas I'm coming up with that are "little" in cost and "big" in size and wouldn't fit into a stocking.

HELP!  If you are doing a stocking for your husband, what are you putting in it?  Even if your not doing a stocking, any ideas?

Re: Stocking Stuffer Ideas

  • We are doing stocking for each other. I got him a 'key' that has little screwdrivers and stuff in it, a Johnny Cash book, a beard trimmer whosie, a dunkin donuts gift card, and something else i cant think of lol

  • I was coming to post something silimiar.... I have no idea what else to get DH for gifts and not stocking stuffers.

We set a dollar amount for each other and I have about $20 more to spend.  So far I got him a Craftsman dustbuster (he really wanted it), Craftsman tool bags, and some packages of socks and underwear.... along with coffee, a wooden spatula and other stocking stuffers.

I'm at a loss for other things to get him.  I know he wants some storage racks, but the ones he wants are way more than what I have left to spend and we really need to stick to our budget this year.  I also don't know what to get him for dd.

I thought I was done shopping until I looked at my list this morning  :(

  • Would it be stupid to get a bigger item that won't fit in the stocking and take a picture of it and put that in the stocking?

  • this post might help: http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/46672306.aspx

i think the photo idea is a good one

  • I generally include toiletries, some of his favorite candy, boxers, little randoms like a pocket flashlight or something similiar, a DD giftcard.

  • so far i have (for g's stocking)

    2 pairs dress socks

    warm work socks

a pickle ornament (i thought the whole hiding the pickle and having the kids find it might be a good tradition for him to start with liza)....um, that sounds a little dirty! lol i hope you all know what i mean :)

    ipad cleaner cloth

    floss sticks

    teeth cleaner set (pick, etc.)

i still plan to add some candy, starbucks card, and maybe a tool.

i usually add some ky type stuff, but since we'll be with inlaws it's probably not a good idea.

oh boy, pickles and ky. this was quite the post ;)

  • Not necessarily all going in his stocking this year, but here's an idea of stuff I've put in it in the past. Often there's one "bigger" item in there, money-wise, but most is just filled with stuff he uses/needs:

    Dunkin Donuts gift card
    CDs
Lindt truffles (or any dark chocolate, for that matter)
    toothpaste
    new toothbrush
    deodorant
    replacement blades for his razor
    shaving cream
    aftershave
    video game
    chapstick
    underwear
    socks
    breath mints / gum

    stuff like that :)
