Re: Weekend plans?

  • Tonight: Grocery shopping, relaxing.  I'm off next week so tonight is my first day of vacation!  Woo-hoo!

Tomorrow:  My mom and aunts are coming over to bake Christmas cookies in the morning.  At night, we're going out to dinner for FIL's b-day.

Sunday: H is working in the morning - I'm going to try to not be lazy and work out.  My BFF is flying in from Hawaii at 5am, so I'm hoping to see her sometime Sunday night.  And since I'm not working on Monday, I won't have to worry about being in bed by 10pm.  Yay!

    Have a great weekend, girls!

  • Noron I'm jealous that you have next week off. My DH has the next two weeks off, perks of being a high school teacher.

Tonight: Going to sister's Christmas party, should be fun especially since the invitation says that theme costumes are appreciated, but not necessary.

Tomorrow: Driving over to the coast with my parents and DH for a family friends Christmas party/Ornament exchange.

Sunday: Driving home from the coast, doing laundry and getting to bed at a decent hour since I have to work Mon-Wed of next week.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited!  I have to work when the building is closed (the week of 12/27), so I thought I'd take off next week instead of some random time in January.

I'm jealous of your costume party!  Fun!

Yeah, luckily I'm off from the 28 - Jan.3rd and as an added bonus our anniversary falls on a 3 day weekend again this year. I'm just happy that I will get to have time off with DH for a bit. We never get to spend weekdays together since we are both at work.

I'm excited for our Christmas Costume Party tonight. Although I have no idea what I'm going to wear.

  • Tonight: I'm cleaning the house today to get ready for us to be out of town so we have a nice clean house to come home to.

Tomorrow: Packing for DH and I's trip to the IL's and spending a little extra cuddle time with my kitty cat, who will miss us very much, I think.

Sunday: Leaving....on a jet plane....lol. Driving to LA to catch a flight, oh joy.

Besides all the happy stuff, I now have to catch up on things that were neglected these past few months like cleaning, finish decorating for the holidays, shopping for gifts, get groceries, put an end to my mother's nagging on finishing the wedding photos/albums (she doesn't understand I was devoting every waking minute to my schooling, and working 2 jobs), resting, and work a 12 hour shift on Sunday. Think I can fit that all in this weekend?

  • tonight: Drs appt, then later tonight, we're getting together with some friends, and our dogs are going to run themselves exhausted haha.

tomorrow: a few errands for the holidays, then I work at the farm 2-4. After 5, we're going to SIL's house for our annual cookie swap. it's so intense, they even have voting.

sunday: work at the farm/do laundry

can we add some confessions in here?

Confession: I have no desire to make my oreo truffles that everyone expects for the cookie swap. DH also thinks they're too "fancy" to win if his family is judging. If I'm not making oreo truffles, I'm not going to slave away to make 8 dozen cookies. I think we're going to buy all of the different kinds of oreos, mix them up on each plate, and package them up nicely. haha

  • Melks, have you tried the peppermint oreos?  Those were good.  I found them at Target.

Tonight:  Dinner out w/parents while hubs works.  Some Christmas shopping, too.

Tomorrow:  Work, all afternoon/night.  It's going to blow.  I can't wait until Christmas is OVER.

Sunday:  No work.  No plans.  Maybe helping Mom decorate.  She's already whining that she's going to miss me, haha.

Confession:  I can't wait to move because of the snow.  This is the first year EVER, in my whole life, that I've gotten sick of the snow and have been dreaming of a tropical vacation.  That has never happened to me!

Yay - congrats!  That's so awesome!

And tell your mom I just got my album this week...and I'm not in school or working more than one job.

Also, yes - you CAN fit all that in to one weekend!

I know of a great ice cream Oreo dessert! It comes complete with fudge (and caramel if you want), whip cream and any flavor ice cream you want. Hmmm, might have to make it tonight......

  • Tonight: we're having veggie chili for dinner and hopefully playing some scrabble and maybe watching White Christmas!

Tomorrow: no set plans, just having some quality time with the H and brushing up on my French

Sunday: hopefully making it to church and then having brunch with a local nestie and her H and then more French.

We haven't done or ordered our albums and prints either. I did hang all of the pretty frames we got as wedding presents, but they are either empty or still have pictures of models in them. In fact, I JUST finished uploading all of the picture CDs from the stupid disposable cameras C insisted we had to have at the reception, so we haven't even actually LOOKED at all of our wedding pics.

I'm due April 10th, so we still have a while, which is good, because we are having so much more trouble deciding on a name than I expected. And, I hope our trip is fun. I have mixed feelings about it, being the first Christmas I've spent away from my family. Being around a very affectionate/gushy MIL when pregnant w/ her first grandchild could be a bit too much....lol.

  • Tonight: We just got home from a dinner date at a little French cafe downtown, possibly the best (and most pricey) meal we've ever had "out".

Tomorrow: Sean sleep all day before going to work overnight, and I'm heading home to MA for an overnight, my dad's side of the family Xmas party is tomorrow, complete with the outrageous Yankee swap. I have missed the past 2 years so I'm excited to go and see my whole family. After that I'm staying at my brother's and chilling with him and my SIL with wine and snacks.

Sunday: Heading to my parents' house to help my mom finish moving boxes into storage to prep for my sister and kids moving next week, then heading back to CT, hopefully not in a snowstorm. It can snow all evening and overnight for all I care, but I'd prefer not to be driving in it for 3+ hours.

Yup, I think I need this now. So what if it's 12* out.

Last night: Nothing. DH got FOUR shots yesterday (Anthrax, Small Pox, Tetanus, and Flu) so he did not feel good. I watched 2 seasons of HIMYM.

Today: I'm hoping DH gets up soon and feels better. If he does I wanna go to Syracuse to see HP7. And eat out somewhere that isn't Taco Bell or Papa Johns.

Tomorrow: Visiting another church and seeing if it's right for us. Then in the afternoon it's Christmas baking! Yay yummy treats.

My confession? I started a part time job two weeks ago and I already want to quit. The environment is  horrible, the people are mean/condescending, and I don't get to eat lunch in the 5 hours I'm there. I haven't quit yet 'cause I told them I could work long term, and it's the holidays. They would never be able to find someone else quickly.

Agreed. Maybe I can convince my DH to brave the cold to go fetch some if he ever stops playing his football computer game.

Starjay: Yes, I too want to know what names are on your list! I'm obsessed with baby names.

    Friday:

We went to my DH's office Christmas party, which was pretty awkward and weird. I feel bad 'cause I was in a grumpy mood all night so I wasn't as sociable as I should have been.

    Saturday:

Napping, watching T.V., and generally being lazy. I've worked pretty much non-stop for the last six weeks, so I decided I needed a break. I did do some house work, but by the looks of the house I barely put a dent in what needs to be done.

    Sunday:

Hopefully I'll catch up with an old friend of mine who is visiting his family for a few days. He lives in Hawaii now, so I haven't seen him since my honeymoon.

Sorry, ladies haven't been around much, been cleaning and packing.

We know LO's middle name will be Dupree, its a traditional family name on DH's side. Its been the boys' middle names for 4 generations now, so while I don't love it, I will live with it b/c I do believe family traditions are important.

For first names we have finally narrowed it down to 2, I think. Carter or Daniel, though I am still browsing websites and books for something that jumps off the page at me. :-)
