Does anyone know what their return policy is? My mom sent me two sweaters and they are both huge. One is ok as a weekend sweater, but the other is just unwearable. There was no receipt. I've never seen an L.L. Bean store (is it catalog-only?), so I don't know how to go about returning this. I know I could call but that sucks so I figured I'd check with you gals.
In case I can't return it, does anyone know how to style a shapeless green sweater vest that is two sizes too big?

I have an LL Bean store like 5 mins from me, even though I know that doesn't help you much.
If you want to exchange it for a smaller size they have this option:
L.L.Bean QuickExchange?
For the fastest service, call Customer Service at 800-441-5713 to request a QuickExchange. We'll place an order for your new item right away. We'll need to charge you the purchase price, but we'll waive the shipping and handling charge for the new item. Once we receive your return, we'll credit you for the cost of the original item.

Had a dream I was queen.
Woke up. Still queen.
here is the link for directions--the quick exchange wouldnt work, as they would charge you but then refund your mom's card (since it was a gift that she paid for.)

they are very good about exchanges.

They have the best customer service of any business I've ever shopped from. They seriously take back anything, at any time. I just sent back a sweater that I bought in 2005 because it shrunk a ridiculous amount. DH sends back work boots at least once a year when they're worn out, and they always replace them.
And they have great online customer service too, so you can chat with someone online immediately instead of being on hold forever.
