Wow, it's been awhile. I was caquade on TK. I can't believe this board has slowed down so much.
A lot has changed since I got married a year and a half ago. DH and I had our baby boy, Tate on August 27th. He's the light of our lives and we absolutely love being parents. We moved into a bigger house last year, (still renting for now), which was just in time b/c we found out right before xmas last year we were expecting. We are set to pay off a bunch of debt in January too! I've also changed jobs and with a significant pay raise. I love my job, but I struggle with wanting to be a SAHM for Tate. We plan on TTC for our second baby next August and my hope is once #2 is here, I can stay home.
How is everyone doing? What's everyone up to? Anyone else had babies or expecting? I'm mostly on the Bump now, b/c I'm really close with other August moms.

Hi & welcome back! It is quite slow over here now - not many people hang out here anymore.
Tate is adorable - congrats! I must agree though, that the santa in that one picture is definitely creepy. Yikes!
Tate is a cutie and has great facial expressions! The last one looks like "Really, Mom?!? for making him wear the hat. So cute!
Since our wedding, H and I bought a house last September which I love. We are starting do some things to it now-had a fence installed and planning on re-doing a bedroom floor and a bathroom soon.
We are getting our finances in order so we can start TTC. We paid off most of my students loans so next year we are tackling the last one and my car. We are mostly living off H's salary so next year we want to live off only his and use mine to pay off those debts and save up. Then I should be able to be a SAHM once we start a family. That's the plan at least. We'll see what actually happens.
TTC #1 since 08/11 IUI#2 = BFP!
Congrats on your house! That's so awesome. We will probably look at buying the house we're currently renting at the end of next year. We'd like to make some improvements to it and then in 5 years or so, sell it, then build our dream house.
If DH and I had been younger, we would have waited to have Tate, so we could pay our debt first, but it all worked out. Your plan sounds perfect. It's weird, b/c I never thought I would want to be a SAHM, but now that I have Tate, it totally changed my mind!
Tate cracks us up with his cute facial expressions! He started rolling this past week and has become a lot more vocal too.
DH and I love watching him grow and develop, and he seems to change everyday! I also love watching DH step into his role as a dad. He's a great daddy.
