I love my job!
It's just so FUN here. I haven't been this busy in years, and I'm being trusted with stuff that my ex-firm never would have given me, like my first solo civil trial on January 3. I'm reviewing the file now. The people here are really great, with a kickass sense of humor - partners and staff. And the clients really love this firm. Where my old place would get maybe one fruit basket during the holidays, this place gets tons of stuff every day. And they're not stingy. Everything gets divided around the office. Last week it was a fruit arrangement we split at lunch, plus I took home a box of cookies. And on Friday, my boss, who doesn't drink, passed me a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label someone gave him. Today they got a case of Italian red wine (I have a bottle) and a huge gift stack out of which I got a box of Ghirardelli chocolates.
