Northern California Nesties
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
XP: Big Fat AW & even bigger THANK YOU!
My dissertation is complete and has been accepted and signed off by my committee members and graduate studies
All
that stands between me and my PhD initials is a meeting with grad
studies to turn in my paperwork. This will happen on Wednesday
morning... so in less than 48 hours I will be Dr. Laura
I can't believe I actually did it! 7 years, way too many hours
staring at computer code and writing and editing text. I almost gave up a
few times (including a few times in the last couple of months!) but I
kept on trudging. And I made it before the end of 2010 and before baby
arrives.
And really, truly, I don't think I could have done it without
support from this board. Thank you for the distractions, encouragement,
friendships. Seriously, the support from this board totally rocks.

Whoo hoo!!! That is awesome. Congrats on all levels. I KNEW you could do it.
I am so proud of you. When your daughter is old enough, you can tell all the blood, sweat and tears you went through to get a PhD. Actually, I am sure your daughter is already proud of you!
