I am cookie'd out!

I went into baking overdrive when I got home from work today and I hope all my cookies will last through christmas because I think I need a baking vacation!!!

Yesterday I made 6 dozen choc chips galore cookies, fudge and started my red velvet cake balls.  Today I dipped the cake balls in choc to freeze, made 6 dozen oatmeal cookies, 3 dozen raspberry thumbprint cookies, 2 dozen sugar cookies, and started my candy cane cookies (they are refrigerating and I will twist them tomorrow)

I hope this can last through my students, my part time job christmas party, christmas eve and christmas day dessert, and my DH picking at the cookies until then!

Anybody else doing a ton of different cookies/ goodies for the holidays?

Re: I am cookie'd out!

  • That is WAY more than I made. I made shortbread cookies , butterscotch haystacks, and dark chocolate peppermint fudge.Basically, I made enough to give to about 6 coworkers and have a small amount leftover at home. The candies are super easy, especially the haystacks. I reccomend trying those out if you get burnt on making cookies. That is a serious amount of baking!

  • Wow. That's a whole lotta cookies!! I'm impressed that you got all that done last night! DH and I helped to frost some sugar cookies and I got bored in about 5 minutes. I made a batch of peanut butter cookies this weekend - I would have liked to make more but MIL made a TON of sugar cookies and some chocolate chip...we didn't need any more cookies in the house!

  • Reading all these cookie threads are making me hungry!

I've done an okay amount of baking so far but it's been more spread out.  I made Oatmeal Cinnamon cookies and Peanut Butter Blossoms in early December, a Peanut Butter Pie last week for a work party, and last night I made a couple batches of fudge.  And between me and my husband we still plan on making some chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, an apple pie, and a pumpkin cake.  Yummy!
