Yay for flooring!! Derek left work a bit early yesterday and started laying the hardwood. It's so awesome. Once I got the around the house stuff done last night I gave him a hand with it and we just flew. I'm really pleased with the colour we ended up going with.
Today should be a pretty good day at work. I'm trying to wrap up all of my outstanding reports, so hopefully I don't get too bored!
How is everyone today?

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Good Morning!
I'm having a pretty good day. It's snowing today here, and it was snowing last night so I'm kinda bummed I didn't get to see the lunar eclipse last night.
Today I have to get stuff to make Sean's dirt cake for his birthday ( apparently he's a 12yr old boy), as well as stuff for the pizza party we're doing with my family.
After today the countdown for me going back to work starts.
I'm sitting in my dressing gown right now with my first cup of coffee for the day! My little brother and I are having a cooking day! We're going to make sausage rolls and filo triangles and I'm prepping to make a croquenbouche this week too.
Anyone wanna take bets on how much I gain over the holidays?!? LOL!

Hello ladies. So did anybody see the lunar eclipse last night? I don't think it was visible over our way.
Pretty quiet day today. I have to do some shopping this evening to exchange one of my birthday presents (gloves were too small), but I'm not looking forward to the crowds. I still have to figure out DH's gift as well. Eek.

good morning....
I'm going to try really hard to not a be a downer. I'd like to continue posting on this board bc I love all you girls and honestly, right now I just don't feel comfortable posting anywhere else. Yesterday was the longest day of my life. The emotions we went through felt looking back like it was over the course of a wk, not a day and I'm back at 360 this morning. I'm looking to get through today's procedure and just starting over.
On the brighterside, we now decided we will be taking a vacation in a few weeks.... possibly a cruise
so I'm going to go back and search for MO's cruise advice post, but feel free to link it or add any info.

I woke up at 2:45 this morning to pee, so I got to see part of the eclipse. Always a cool thing.
Today is my next to last day of work this year. I have a list of things to do today and tomorrow before we head home for the holidays, but it's not too long. I think it's going to be pretty laid back here today - most of the junior staff is out starting tomorrow due to our "use it or lose it" leave policy.
The nausea that I was saying I didn't have found my yesterday at about 11:00 a.m. and hung around until 10:00 p.m. accompanied by some lovely acid reflux. I am actually happy to have it because it makes me think that things are going well. We'll see what today brings.

Erinn, you're going through something major and we're all here for you. Please don't hesitate to vent, mourn, whatever you need. I can see that it might be hard, but stick around and post, we love seeing you!
Today I'm off again before I go back tomorrow and work 4 days in a row. I have to call the manager who makes my schedule later today because I got a curious e-mail last night about me having to move my stat holidays since I would have too many hours based on my days working and stat hours owed. Um....they are the ones who scheduled me for all these shifts so I don't see how it's my problem. Essentially, it seems like they are trying to take advantage of me. Make me work all these hours that they can't pay me for (until next pay period). I know I'll get paid eventually, but this is manipulative.
I need to go to the gym to cross train and go buy my Dad a shirt. Maybe wrap up the presents for my niece and nephew.
I completely agree. Do whatever you need to do.
Today is antoher crazy work day. I am trying to crank out as many files as can before the end of the day Thursday since I am off all next week. Yay for vacations. I am looking forward to Zumba tonight after all the food I ate at parties over the weekend.
Erinn, stick around here. We definitely all support you. And you're not being a downer, you're letting out your emotions after dealing with this loss. There is definitely nothing wrong with that. I think a cruise is a great idea.
I went on a cruise a year ago January. My only advise is that we left out of New Orleans and it was cold. The cruise itself was cold until we got to our last stop of the cruise. So if you're looking for warm weather, be sure to do some research on the weather at the ports to make sure that it should actually be warm there. Other than that, have fun!
I'm pretty sure no one is going to think you're a downer. If they do, I'll make them GBCN.
my thoughts exactly.
Erinn - *hugs* We're here for you.
I'm at work, trying to work, but I'm really just waiting for a call about grandma's arrangements so I can book tickets. I also wish I knew someone who had a plane and could get my mom and family out of Alaska sooner, so she could be with her dad. The $2400 per ticket they just paid for the 4 of them to fly this week is ridiculous and would make a nice downpayment on a dam airplane.
Erinn we're all here for you, whatever you may need. Good luck with the procedure today.
It's been raining non stop here. While the rain is a good thing since we're in a drought, people in LA are morons and cannot drive. Mostly they continue to drive really fast, tail gate and cut you off, as if it's not hard enough to drive while it's pouring buckets when you're not used to it. I've also developed some serious road rage and I'm trying to be better, but this isn't helping. I'm at work today and I hope to start wrapping gifts tonight. I'm off on Christmas Eve so I figure I'll wrap most of our gifts that morning if I have to. Have you all have a good day!
(( hugs )) Erinn. Hope to still see you around, we love you.
I found out this morning that my marriage sponsor passed away yesterday afternoon. We were going to visit her this morning but didn't get a chance to. However, I'm really glad to see that the husband seems to be very much at peace with what's happened. He said that he has nothing but happy memories of being married to a wonderful woman, and he'll miss her, but they were so much in love that all he feels right now is love. He asked V to sing and me to play at the funeral so we chose all the music with him today.
Other than that, we picked up everything we need for our church Christmas eve potluck and the last of the things I needed to decorate so we're all set for Christmas!
