Has anyone heard this term before? DINK (double income, no kids). I got called that this weekend by my SIL. Christian and I were talking about our next vacation and she was like gosh, it must be so nice to be a DINK. I was like huh?
Not sure if she was trying to be a smartas$ or just saying b/c that they can not take vacations as much b/c they have children. Guess I was just kinda thrown off by that comment. Anyone else been referred to as this?

I took an urban development class in college and the professor used the term to describe a certain family/household, as in you have a high population of DINKs in cities or urban areas, then they move to suburban areas, etc., which effects planning, etc. It wasn' used in a derogatory or non-derogatory way - just as a way to describe married couples with two incomes that did not have children.
I think your SIL was saying it in a not so nice way - which as Jenni pointed out, is annoying since she chose to have the children she has.
This!
Except I guess I would be a SINK? I'm still unemployed so... Single Income No Kids.
