okay, so when i was wrapping lars' gifts last night, i was tired and not thinking and i wrapped them all in christmas paper.
i meant to wrap the Nook in birthday paper. it's got ribbons and bows and everything.
i do have a couple more small gifts to get him: a blu ray movie and a level, so i could wrap those in birthday wrap but that that's only 2 small things.

This is a good point.
I was going to ask if it was a combined birthday/christmas present? If so, you could be sort of silly and put the Birthday wrap over the Christmas wrap. I know that's wasteful, but it would be kind of fun. I would only do this if it were combined in the sense of you spent less on his Christmas gifts because the Birthday gift was such a nice gift.
not the case. the nook was about the same cost as the rest of his christmas gifts combined. i guess i'll rewrap it tonight.
My birthday is Dec. 23rd. I get pissed when people wrap my birthday presents in Christmas paper. I want them to be two very distinct occasions.

This exactly.

I guess the birthday-close-to-Christmas thing bothers some people more than others. If it would bother Lars to mix them together, then rewrap the gift. If he doesn't seem to mind, then don't rewrap.
Andy's birthday is also close to Christmas and he doesn't care one bit about the two getting mixed in together. In fact, if he has a bigger or more expensive gift on his wish list, he often even suggests that it could be a combined birthday/Christmas gift.

I liked these answers. I voted *...I would re-wrap it if Lars would mind. Or if you think he wouldn't put the "Christmas" wrapped gift in a "Birthday" themed bag. Or wrap birthday over the Christmas?
Totally cute idea!
i just asked him last night and he laughed and said "i don't care. don't waste the paper."
so there you have it.
i DO plan to wrap the last 2 things that i haven't yet wrapped in birthday paper though!
