Didn't you just go on vacation somewhere? I want to say Tahoe, maybe?
If you went already, how was it?
Re: Lauren4317*
Yes I went to Lake Tahoe last Tues-Sat and it was a great trip! Thanks for asking!
I went with MH and another couple. We stayed at Harveys hotel/casino which is in Nevada, and our friends stayed in another hotel which was only across the street, but in California! We were exactly right on the state line. It snowed the night we got there which was beautiful and then it was clear blue skies on Wed and Thurs with snow on the ground. And then it snowed all day Friday. We had a top floor hotel room with a corner window and a gorgeous view of the mountains and lake. When we woke up Wed morning and opened the curtains, we literally were like "WHOA" and took a million pictures.
MH and I didn't do any skiing or anything, but our friends did ski. The closest ski resort to us was called Heavenly and we all took the gondola up together, took pics of the views, and then they continued on to ski and H and I had hot chocolate at the top. The only other winter activity we did was some ice-skating that night but only the 3 of them did that while I watched and took pics- I knew I would fall flat on my asss and didn't want to feel like a failure, haha.
Other than that, we did a lot of eating, drinking, playing in the casinos and generally just enjoying the beautiful atmosphere. I also had a facial at the hotel's spa, which was really nice.
I plan to post our pics on FB by this weekend or earlier so everyone will have to check them out

I've been living under a rock or something and missed this. Sounds really fun, Lauren! Hot chocolate on the top of a mountain with your husband sounds really lovely ::sigh::
My winter vacation will be so very different.
My silly Lily is almost 4.
