Good Morning ladies,
How are you all handling the holidays madness?
We are so excited for our holiday trip. We arrived to Albany at noon on the 25th. Hoping for a white christmas, yes we are!!!
Busy week. The malls are crazy and I started christmas shopping since September. Each week I purchased 2-3 gifts. Now I am down to 5 people. Yes we have a huge family.
Anyone else going to another state for the holidays? Wishing you all a safe and wonderful travels.

Re: Holiday Fun
Merry Christmas!!!! :-)
Unfortunately I am BROKE this year and will definitely be taking a different approach in the years to come as far as my shopping and baking goes. Definitely have to replenish the savings account after this week too! LOL
But, the shopping, wrapping and baking are done (and my goodies turned out good - Irish Cream fudge is a hit at work!). I took my cookie tins to both next door neighbors on Sunday, and going today at lunch to find my step daughter a stocking.
No OOS travel for us, but we'll be busy. Christmas Eve we'll go to church with my parents then dinner over my cousin's house with them and her ILs. Christmas Day we'll be going to my SIL's house for dinner, as well as another SIL's house for a visit (2 of DH sisters are fighting so the one is having her kids over and not joining the rest of the family for dinner). Hopefully we'll be able to get over to my cousin's house at some point because my aunt and cousin are here from down south for a very short time, and eventually will make it bck to my parents' house in the evening.
And finally, a good snow storm last weekend left us with enough snow on the ground for a white Christmas, even if we don't get the snow they're calling for tonight!
Lots of white Christmas wishes for you, too!!!! Have a great holiday!!
We are traveling also :-) I am down to just a couple of items to get for my Mom now, and I'll be all done! The gifts are wrapped and under the tree, and it feels like Christmas
There is a chance that we will have a white Christmas, so that will be fun if it turns out that way...woo hoo! I plan to have a nice steak dinner with all the trimmings for Christmas Eve with H, for our "us" time dinner before the craziness of travel gets going on Saturday. And then on Sunday, I'll be making a traditional dinner with Ham and trimmings - which was to be Christmas dinner - but it'll be great, as we will be home on Sunday and can watch football and hang out with freshly cooked dinner and fresh baked desserts :-))
I am looking forward to the weekend for sure - at least a lot more than I was at this time last week...lol...
This is my first Christmas since I was 5 (moved to CA when I was 5) that I will not be in CA for Christmas. Since college I have always traveled for Christmas, it will be strange. My parents get here TONIGHT!!! YAY
I will be doing some frantic cleaning when I get home form work and the gym tonight. Then DH mom, sister and brother get here Thursday.
I have all the presents but one for my mom bought. DH is a bit more behind though, so I have a feeling I will be picking up some of his slack.
Oh, and it is my last day of work before the holidays, so that is awesome too
Safe travels to all!
We are sorta travelling for Christmas. We live about an hour away from all our family, so we will be heading out there sometime Friday afternoon.
I am completely finished shopping. H has to finish me and get GC for both of his bosses. I only have 2 gifts left to wrap and should have them finished this afternoon.
I still have to make my cheese ball for H's family party on Sunday, but otherwise I am finished with my Christmas cooking/baking. We will have 4 Christmases in 3 days over the weekend, but it's nice to get it all done in 1 weekend.
Then, we will be hosting NYE and having a few friends over. Busy times, but I'm loving it.
I am sooo happy not to be travelling for Christmas since we just got back from a trip to Ohio yesterday. MIL and FIL are driving down here and will get to our house tomorrow night. He has some other family throughout FL that will come for our very first xmas dinner and we are so excited!
Gifts are almost done minus some stocking stuffers for the hubby!
Ho Ho Ho B*tches! lol sorry... that got written on quite a few of my Christmas Postcards!
Christmas is a great time... and we only have to travel within a five mile radius all day! woooooo! lol, up early to open our gifts, then b-fast is at our place (breakfast soufle and fried dough - yum), then off to my 'rents for gifts w/ my 3 sisters, bac k home to shower, then off to the IL's for their "revolving door" party, THEN if we still have any energy back to our place to watch a movie w/ the SIL&FI !
Phew!
Safe travels to those of you on the move this holiday!

Oh man, we are traveling like crazy! We are in Michigan right now with my family and are flying on Christmas day to Oakland, CA to be with DH's family, and we have to be back in San Diego on New Years for a wedding! It's crazy! But, this is the first year that DH and I are NOT splitting for Christmas, so I'm super excited!
GL to everyone traveling, safe travels and happy holidays!
