Happy anniversary, Gina!

There weren't very many of us with 12/21 anniversaries (or 12/22), but Gina and I are both celebrating today!

Well...DH and I celebrated on Saturday.  He won't be home until 10:00 or 10:30 tonight because of rugby practice.  But at least he brought me coffee on his way home from CrossFit this morning.  Smile

Gina, what are you and Bill doing to celebrate?

Re: Happy anniversary, Gina!

  • I was just coming here to wish you a happy anniversary..but you beat me to it :)  Yep, it's only the two of us.  I guess not many are brave enough to get married 4 days before Christmas..lol.  We aren't doing too much today.  Bill and I had both taken off and were going to do something special with Andrew for Christmas (like go see the light show in Philly), but work called me first thing this morning and desperately needed someone to come in later today.  I didn't want to turn them down and plus we need the money, so I said yes : (  So instead we're staying home, getting some stuff done around the house, and the three of us are going to the Cheesecake Factory for a late lunch.  It's one of my favorite restaurants so it's not a bad consolation prize ; )

What did you and Shawn wind up doing on Saturday?  We saw Harry Potter...it was a little disappointing, but still glad we saw it.

  • We actually stayed home on Saturday, but it was really nice!  Shawn had me go downstairs to read for awhile, and when he brought me up, he took me straight to the bedroom, where he'd laid out a dress for me to wear, and he had flowers on the dresser, as well as candles, a glass of wine, and my first appetizer.  I hung out in there for a little while, and when he came back to get me, he'd changed clothes.  He had a fire going in the fireplace, Christmas tree lights on, music playing, and flowers and candles scattered around the living room, dining room, and kitchen.  He made me a really yummy meal, but he purposely spread it out so we actually spent about 3 hours, just hanging out and eating a course here and a course there.

I really appreciated how much thought and effort he put into the night, and it was really nice to be able to just relax and focus on each other and reminisce about the last 3 years (and think a bit about the next year or two and some things that we'd like to do).  I thought it was a very special night.  Smile
