Christmas

MIL just emailed me and asked if there is any household item that DH and I want/need.

I have no idea what to tell her.  I want a new couch, new coffee/end/tv stands, a new bedroom suit, a new fridge, new washer/dryer.  But these are all big things.

Give me some ideas on smaller household things I could want/can't live without.

Re: Christmas

  • I asked for a dutch oven.

What about a bread machine? Or waffle iron? Do you need a crock pot?

  • Good ideas...but we don't eat much bread, and I already have a waffle iron and 2 different sized crock pots.

A new set of cookware is a good idea...I've been eyeing Paula Dean's speckled set.

  • what about a hand/immersion blender? I love mine (though it broke, so MIL is getting me a new one for xmas).

Or, how about a food mill for making purees and baby food?

Or a really good knife? A great knife makes cooking so much easier.

Or maybe extra place-settings of your china/dishes?

I've also heard rice cookers are handy if you make lots of rice and you can also make oatmeal, cream of wheat, etc in them.

Or maybe extra place-settings of your china/dishes? I don't like my current dishes...maybe I could get a start of some new stuff....
