So I've never been able to do my own eyebrows, but sadly I really need/want them done before my family's Christmas eve party. Can any one walk me through it or recommend a blog/website that has easy to follow, mostly painless directions for shaping one's eyebrows?
TIA!!!

Re: Eyebrows...
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
Go get them professionally shaped and waxed FIRST! Then tweeze the hairs that grow back.
Or at least that's how I deal with the Sasquatch brows I was blessed with. Aside from an accidental flirtation with pencil-thin brows in the late 90s, I've done well with this method.
ETA: If you can't/won't, you should at least abide by the Brow Tweezing Laws:
1. Tweeze from underneath, not above.
2. Use the (general) pencil rule. I put a pencil at the edge of my nose to see where my eyebrows should start (the inner edge). Then you shift the pencil at an angle so that it bisects your iris ... that's generally about where the arch should be. Finally, angle the pencil more so that it rests just at the outer edge of your eye ... where the pencil hits the brow is where your brow should stop. These are generalities, not absolutes!
3. Keep a brow pencil handy, just in case.
Amen.
I tried one time to 'shape' my own brows to try to save money and I will never do it again! It may just be me but they were not even and I took off way too much from one area and looked completely ridiculous. Waxing is definitely one thing to leave to professionals.
If $$ is an issue (and let's face it, when is it not), I should clarify that I had a few brow-waxing sessions in high school, and have done what I consider to be a great job maintaining them since then. (Except for the aforementioned pencil-thin debacle.)
