So H and I went to the shelter yesterday afternoon and . . .
WE ADOPTED BRUNO!
Since we're going to NC for Christmas, we're not picking him up until Sunday. But yesterday I went to petsmart and bought like a million things.
Funny story, Bruno was originally given up for . . . chasing cows! The town we live in is a suburb to a minor city and we drove about an hour out west (to Narnia as I used to call it in my construction days) and it's pretty agrarian. Chasing cows will not be a problem for us.
On the down side, karma bit me in the ass for taking a half day yesterday. I feel like butt (have a pretty bad head cold), so I'm working at home for most of the day; going in for a meeting a little later. I'm dreading the airplane tomorrow with a head cold.
(An unmatched left parenthesis creates an unresolved tension that will stay with you all day.

UPDATED 11/05/10 Lots of Wedding PICS!
UPDATED 07/28/10 My Planning Bio
He's a husky/shepherd/retriever mix, 2 years old and about 40 lbs. He is absolutely adorable, knows a lot of commands already (Sit, Down, Shake, Speak) and is a great leash walker. According to his previous owners, he's housebroken well and almost never has accidents *knock on wood*. He's so affectionate and happy.
H says that when he saw his picture online, he just knew that he would end up being the dog for us. When we walked into the kennels at the shelter, 90% of all the dogs were going nuts, as they usually do at shelters. Barking, jumping around (omg there was this one that could jump so high that his ears touched the ceiling!), but Bruno was relatively calm, not barking, didn't jump up until I put my hand there and then just licked the crap out of it.
Haha, can you tell I'm excited? I cannot wait to take him home.

Awwwwwwwwww, Yay!! He's so cute! You're lucky you live so far from me b/c as soon as you posted those pics the other day, I wanted to run to the shelter before you could get there and take Bruno home with me. :-)
