Re: WTF Wednesday
WTF, Toyota driver, better to miss your exit and be late for work than cut across four lanes of traffic and nearly bash right into me and scare the crap out of me!
WTF, bus driver, you will NOT get away with trying to purposely run me down this morning. I WILL call your company and complain, and I got your license plate, buddy, so you're going down!
WTF, dog, why don't you want to come in after going to the bathroom? It's freakin' cold out and one of us is NOT equipped with a luxurious fur coat!

WTF post office person at Food Pyramid. I'm still irritated at you for telling me I could change an address on a package yesterday when I called the store, then I drive out there and take time off work to do it, and you look at me like I'm crazy and say no. If it was federal law that I can't change it, someone should've told me over the phone so I didn't waste my time [and PTO]. That's what I get for not dealing with the real post office.
WTF wind. GO AWAY!

haha Larissa, is that on the Droid? It took me a while also.
So, my WTF:
I hate Old Wives Tales, especially those I believe in. There's an old wives tale that if your pregnant (think it's just Jewish & pregnant but I could be wrong), you're not supposed to be around dead bodies/souls. Meaning, no wakes, no funerals. And of course, I grew up hearing this, so am really personally torn on whether or not I go to my coworkers wake tonight. My boss said I have to do what's best for me, and that tonight is NOT going to be easy; it will be very emotional and if it's too much for me to go, to NOT feel bad (best.boss.ever).
I just feel awful. There is this thing in Judaism called Yahrzeit, and although it's typically for family, I may light a candle & say a prayer for his family instead of doing the wake w/ H tonight...and of course send a donation to the education fund the family is starting.
It just sucks.
Melissa, that is kind of what my sister said to do. I think I am going to do that.
I just feel bad. And I know people at work are going to wonder why I didn't go. They'll find out that I'm pg probably in the next week or so....and then I can explain if I need to.

WTF is up with my co-workers having no etiquette at all?! I love when you holler at me from the office right next door while I'm on the phone. Seriously, is it that hard to get off your hiney and come talk to me instead of yelling like children??
The countdown to my last day here is so on!
I have another
WTF work....thanks for bringing in an awesome ass lunch of Italian, chicken fingers, garlic bread, etc.
I had a stuffed shell, chicken finger, a little salad, and not 1, not 2, but 3 pieces of garlic bread. Baby needed it today...
....
....or something.
I did this last week, and had to go all the way home to get it. I can top you with pump forgetfulness. Today I forgot to put the bottles on the pump. Yep, I pumped for almost 5 minutes before I realized that the bottles weren't on. Thankfully it wasn't a huge mess, but still...
Stephanie, I'm making a sad face re: forgetting the bottles. I did that once and nearly flipped out.
Another WTF: Why is my car still having issues?! I just got you back and had you in the shop for TWO WEEKS, and it's still shaking when I drive! I'm hoping it's because it's been cold and the car hasn't been driven in just about a week, but I'm about to lose my marbles over this. I'm grateful I have my dad's car as a back-up, but still. WTF car! I just want you to be OK! Sigh.
I can relate, too. The only time I forgot to put the bottles on, I realized after only a couple of minutes, so I only lost a few drops. It just takes so much work to get that milk, it's heartbreaking to lose any of it! The closest I got to crying over pumping was when I spilled a 4 oz bottle all over the kitchen floor.
