How bad were your symptoms?
I am starting my first IUI cycle this month - clomid starts tonight (as soon as hear how my bloodwork went this morning). I will be taking it through Sunday and am so nervous that I am going to be a raging *** with crazy hot flashes for Christmas
Someone please tell me that it won't be that bad!
Re: Clomid ladies
Ah, yes, clomid. Hot flashes, strange dreams. Sort of sucks.
I had most of my hot flashes at night I think. Are you telling anyone you are doing this? Or are people going to be like what the hell is up with Jen and her mood swings and hot flashes?
Nobody in my family or DH's family knows. I'm strange. I have told friends but not family.
I have so much to do over the next few nights to get ready since we are having 13 people for Christmas (haven't started baking and still need to clean the house). At least my wrapping is done! I hope I can get through this without killing my husband!
Mine weren't bad. I had the hot flashes, but I don't recall them being during the day, just at night. I don't think I was any bitchier than normal, either.
Good luck!
It took 5 failed IUIs and a failed IVF, but our FET worked!
My pregnancy after Infertility Blog
Our baby girl was born on April 27, 2011!
good luck!
my first cycle on it sucked - I got really dizzy and had bad headaches, but no mood swings. the next 2 rounds brought the hot flashes, mood swings and bad dreams.
Hated it not gonna lie. Made me moody, headaches, dizzy, strange dreams and i could cry at the drop of a hat. Not a fun med but people do have good luck with it. Hope you do to!!!
I'm sorry, I lol'd. all my dreams involved me dying - the most common one was during a c/s (I had the same dream every night for a week and tried to avoid sleeping b/c I kept having it). yet another reason I was terrified of scheduling one =/
Oh, but the other reason I came back -- Clomid did work for us. I responded painfully slowly to it, but we did get Norah from a clomid cycle.
I was on clomid for both kids. 2 rounds worked for Christian and honestly I can't remember any crazy side effects except for maybe bloating. I was only on 50 mg though so maybe all the crazy symptoms are due to higher doses?
I was on it for 4 cycles for Gianna and then got switched to tamoxifen. 1 cycle of that one worked for her.
Good luck Jen!!
