Christmas Cleaning
What is on your agenda prior to Christmas? We have guests coming in four days and I am starting to realize the cooking and cleaning I would like to complete in advance is quite monumental...
Main Goals:
make and freeze breakfast quiche
make and freeze sausage patties
deep clean bathrooms
dust
clean windows and front door
vacuum couch - dog hair... 
wash holiday dishes

Re: Christmas Cleaning
We have a work potluck Tuesday, and then inlaws arriving for a visit that evening. I need to make: chile cheese rice (for the potluck), two yule logs (DH has a second potluck to attend Wednesday), and gingerbread to give as gifts.
Today we deep cleaned the living room/dining room and kitchen...tomorrow we have to do the bathroom, bedroom, and then tackle the guest room/office, which is a monumental undertaking in itself.
And there's an event we're supposed to go to tomorrow evening. And we need to wrap gifts at some point. We're going to be very busy for the next few days!
Luckily all our family is in the same community we live in, so we are not having any gatherings at our house. But on Thursday after work I have to bake some cookies. I need to finish wrapping a few presents and Christmas morning I will prepare a shimp appetizer and throw some chicken lip dip into a crockpot. And then we are off.
Luckily we had my DH's family Christmas last weekend as his brother was home from the AirForce and just went back in on Friday. So now we only have one left. It was actually very nice to space them out a bit.
We're not hosting anyone this year due to serious lack of space in our apartment. When we buy a house, I would love to entertain! However, I still am doing a big clean while I'm on vacation for 2 weeks. I vacuumed the baseboards yesterday throughout the apartment and what a huge difference it made. I used the vacuum everywhere - carpet, baseboards, around our media unit, etc.
Next on my list is:
- Kitchen clean up - including the fridge/stove
- Bathroom
- Laundry
- Baking cookies for family celebrations this weekend
SO glad we're going OOT for the holidays and don't have to clean. I'm picking up and finishing the laundry so that we come home to a clean house.
Otherwise, it's just baking. I'm almost finished with it, actually. I'm about to go and make fudge.
