For the first time ever
I have no idea what any of my gifts are. I know all of the ones from DH are unwrapped is his closet. Gah! I want to snoop so bad. Dh is getting all kinds of fun things between me, my parents and the IL's. I'm kind of jealous since I asked for things like a steam mop and a new down comforter. What are you gals looking forward to receiving? What are you most excited to give?
Re: For the first time ever
This year I have absolutely no idea what my parents got us. My mom asked if it was ok for her to get us a joint gift this year, and I told her of course that was fine, but I have no idea what she could be getting for both of us. I'm pretty excited to find out what it is. I have some ideas but I don't want to say in case I'm way off base.
I asked for some books on canning homemade jams, pickling, and canning recipes. I'm hoping I get at least 1 of those. I really wanted a Soda Stream but I'm pretty sure I'm not getting that this year. I think I know what Ted got me, but I'm not 100%. I asked for one of those stove top espresso makers and I think he might have gotten me that and some other stuff.
I'm really excited to give DH his gift, I think he's going to love it. I'm also looking forward to giving my brothers girlfriend her gift because she's one of those people who never lost the whole spirit of Christmas and the joy of surprises, so when she opens presents it's always really fun to see her reactions.
I don't know what DH got me, but I did put together an Amazon wishlist this year so I'm fairly confident that everything he got was from there.
I was most excited about giving our niece Casey her gift (all of the Disney princess dolls) since she is finally old enough to get the whole Christmas thing. We did Christmas with them last Sunday. I'm also a little excited to surprise DH with the Pearl Jam CDs.
Despite the fact that Brian and I decided not to exchange gifts with each other this year, he's been acting a little suspicious the last couple of days..and today he was insisting I run to Wal-Mart..(yes, Wal-Mart) which is right across the street to pick up some Cool Whip. Brian has been working for Target for 11 years...... he needed me out of the house, and was desperate to get me out of the house.
I picked up the 1st Season of Burn Notice for DH, since it's his new TV series he's hooked on. And a few other miscellaneous stocking stuffers.
All my kiddo's will be here tomorrow, so this is always more for them than anything.
