I was a cashier @ Ace Hardware for a few years during h.s, and after- He was a customer there. He says he had been coming in there for a while, but we never noticed each other.

One day he came through my line and he was buying wire nuts - they are sold in boxes, or individually, so I asked him how many he had. He said, "I don't know, make up a number." So, I said, with out thinking, "69"

Well...you can imagine all the jokes that ensued from that. He still makes fun of me to.this.day about saying 69 to him. Embarrassed

The next time he came in w/ his friend and he asked me for my number. I laughed at him and shrugged him off. Then before he left he said, "So, can I get your number." Obviously I gave it to him.

We met through mutual friends at the end of our freshman year of college. Several girls in my sorority were friends with guys in his fraternity and we met at a party, became aquaintances/friends, ate lunch together with a big group of our friends twice a week for awhile, and didn't go on our first date until about 6 months later.

We were both 15 years old at the time. My mom moved in three doors down from his mom, and I first spotted him at the community pool. I thought he was oh-so-dreamy. I totally stalked him whenever I was at my mom's because he was soooo cute.

Eventually he introduced himself to my sister and me, and we talked a little. I wanted to invite him to my 16th birthday party but was too shy so my sister invited him. He came, and I was so excited when he gave me a hug at the end of the night.

We hung out a couple more times as friends after that, then he took me on a date to go roller-skating and we had so much fun our faces hurt from laughing so much. The rest is history.

I was purchasing a condo...he was the seller's agent. People like to say that the sale was the first time he screwed me. hahaha

The long story is....

His real estate office had taken over selling a whole condo community. They used our clubhouse, which overlooked the pool, as their office. I would go to the pool and purposely sit where I knew he could see me (back when I had the body of a 22 year old). I went as far as to buy a special bikini (that was dubbed "the realtor bikini") and I would have my dad call the office to see if he was working (my dad would make up a name to tell the receptionist, then find out if he was in). He would come out and say hello and I would joke that I owed him a beer for all I put him through with my condo sale. Then one day he brought me a bottle of water....that's when I knew I'd caught him! I texted my mom, "got him." LOL A little while later we started dating and the rest is history.

DH & I grew up in the same very small town. He's a year older than me & lived 2 streets away. We've known each other since we were small. After college, my BFF & I stopped in for drinks at the local bar. DH was there. BFF asked him if he was still friends with J. DH called J & we all went to meet up with him at another bar. BFF wanted to hook up with J, so I tagged along & hung out with DH. BFF & J didn't work out though.

How romantic. Stick out tongue I told DH we need to make up a better story to tell the kids one day... we haven't come up with one yet.

A mutual friend introduced us. It was very odd because she had been telling him about me, hoping he would like me, but she hadn't told me anything about him at all, aside from the fact that he was someone she had been "hooking up with" a few months earlier. Tongue Tied

So I just thought he was some "friend with benefits" for her. The weekend she introduced us, she was even telling me about a completely different guy, hoping I'd like him. She's always been a little strange. But everything worked out and to this day she's proud of getting H and I together.

How old was he? 15, he's 3 years older than me.
Did you start dating right away? Yup, I lied about me aged and we started dating, he "dumped" me a few weeks later because I wouldn't put out! (ha I was 12 not going to happen!!) We kept seeing each other off and on til I was 15? Then started dating again when I was 19.
Is he the only guy you've dated? Nope, I dated lots of guys in between.
He was my first boyfriend and my first kiss though!
I'm so interested!!!

I was living in Sarasota and I just finished the Peace Corps in Thailand. I was a bit jaded with life back in the states and trying to adjust. It is recommended that volunteers find their local RPCV group to help ease back into life.

The Sarasota group was nice and all, but they were all 60 and older. So I started to look in Tampa. I found a group online that H just happened to head. We exchanged a few emails, I would rsvp yes to various events, and never show up.

Months went by and I emailed H to inquire about things for my Dad thinking of opening an office in Tampa. I just happened to be going to a folk festival that weekend with friends so I invited him to join us.

My friends ended up not wanting to go, so it was just H and I. I'm really glad they ditched me!

We met through mutual friends when we were 15. My best friend, her boyfriend and I worked together during the summer. Her boyfriend came in to pick up his pay check and brought his friend (DH) with him. I didn't even notice him, but he told his friend he wanted to meet me. We planned to all hang out at Club Joy (does anyone remember this teen club? lol)

I wasn't interested in a boyfriend so, we didn't talk much after a few weeks until senior yr of high school when I went to a HS hockey game. I was showing my friend a team picture of him (they had up at the rink bc I knew he had played hockey) and as I turned around he was walking by me. It was a weird coincidence.

At church. I moved to FL on June 17 (knowing nobody) and met him on July 1. He initially thought I was way young, but when I told him I was 22, he said he then thought I was cute. H and I were both on the crew team in college and we met at a party at the boat house the first week or 2 of our freshman year. I thought he was really funny (and still do!). He worked at the computer center where I had a class once a week and after class I would stay and talk to him, sometimes for a couple of hours. He really didn't get the hint that I liked him! We both had the same major so we would talk about that and other things. I could totally be myself around him, which says a lot because I was 10x more shy than I am now. I told someone on the floor he lived on in our dorm that I liked him and she had a big mouth, so she told him I liked him and we needed to hang out more. The rest is history, and here we are, 14 years later!

Met DH when I was 14 he was 17 at a mutual friend's graduation party. I met his parents first and my parents and his introduced us (my sisters) to him and his brother. We were newbies, just moved from the Philippines. So him, his brother and their friends took us out a lot to get used to the way of living here in the states. I never thought we would end up together, I mean I thought he was younger than me lol. Him and his friends asked if I wanted to go to homecoming with them as a group. I havent been to one so I said yes. Everyone cancelled so we ended up going together (I think they planned it that way, he won't admit though lol). We had a great time, I would blush whenever he would end up holding my hands when we pass a big crowd so we wont get separated, had our slow dance that was a bit uncomfortable haha because he was just a friend didnt think I would slow dance with a friend then we had our first kiss ( don't judge we knew each other for 6 months already lol ) oh another thing, he made a casette tape of all romantic songs (another clue I was set up hahah) it was the best first date ever. We dated for a few months and since we would only see other on family and friends gatherings and i didnt really act like a girlfriend when we would see each other like being lovely dovey he thought I wasnt interested that much and started seeing another girl without actually breaking it off with me. Needless to say, he learned his lesson and realized he really wanted to be with me so we got back together and been together as a couple for 12 years married for 2 years.

I met a friend of H's when I worked at the Wagonwheel Flea Market in High School! I went to dinner and a movie with the kid from the commercials "How'd I do, dad?" He was nice but just visiting home on winter break. We went on a group date and both brought some friends. A friend of mine started dating H. They didn't work out but H and I kept in contact and started dating two months later. I was soooo in love but was 17 in HS and he was 20 and in college at UT. He played baseball and was busy so it didn't work out but when I moved to FSU a year later he started texting me and AIM messaging me all the time. After the Lightning won the Stanley Cup and H got a new dog, he called and said the only thing missing was me! It was very sweet...but that should also show you how obsessed he is with sports. It took the Lightning winning the Stanley Cup for him to see there was more to life than sports, lol.

H and I first met when I first moved back to Florida. It was the summer before I started at USF and we both had training for a job with the local YMCA. I thought he was cute but cocky. Turns out we both were assigned to the same site that summer. We kinda flirted off and on but we were both in other relationships. About a year later we ran into each other on campus and exchanged numbers but I turned him down when he asked me to a party. We ran into each other two other times in the next 3 years and every time I turned him down. I thought he was a player and I wasn't interested in that kind of guy. Besides, I was dating other people. After 4 years I was getting out of a fiery relationship and looking for something to get my mind off my ex. I went out with some of my sorority sisters to a Greek bowling night where I ran into H with some of his Frat guys. We exchanged numbers yet again. When he called and asked me out the next day I surprised myself by saying yes. That night he whisked me away on a motorcycle and stole my heart. 8 years later I'm so glad I took a chance on my "bad boy".

Friends of ours met on Jdate and now they are happily married and have a one year old daughter that is absolutely beautiful and such a doll. I have even recommended it to a friend since it seems to work!
