Crazy family on both sides

*sigh*... sometimes I wonder if my family or my IL's are crazier.

I was the one whose sisters are obsessed with their pets and insisted on taking their animals out of town for Thanksgiving.  So for Christmas we had it at my parents (in town) and my sister with the cat lives right down the street from them.  After gifts and all that good stuff my Mom and I were preparing the meal when my sister decides to go home and get her cat to bring her back.  My mom told her not to but my sister did it anyways (my parents have cats and my sisters cats beat up my parents cats).  SHe got back to my parents and immediately threw the cat on my dad, and of course my dad yelled at my sister to take her cat home (gosh we sound so redneck).  My sister left crying but eventually came back.

Then there's my IL's.  My SIL is young, and is constantly fighting (on facebook) with her boyfriend (who is the father of her 18 month old).  Neither SIL nor her boyfriend have a driver's license.  Somehow my MIL let them take her car so they could go to boyfriend's parents house.  Well now SIL is mad because my MIL wants her car back (duh... SIL just informed my MIL she wasn't going to see MIL on Christmas).  So now SIL is going off about what a b*tch MIL is.  *sigh*.

That's only the tip of the iceberg.  Family gives me a migraine.

  • Well, you can ignore them and say no or be a part of the drama. It's really up to you.

Uh... say no to what?  This was just stuff that we saw, none of it involved us.

  • I hate cats. And your sister sounds like a dumbazz. Crying because she had to take puddy tat home? Really? I'm sorry but she REALLY needs a boyfriend.

I think family can give a lot of people a migraine. I've got a good one for you that just might show you that you're not alone. Christmas night over my SIL's house with most of the family (2 sisters, 2 brothers/SILs, aunt, uncle, cousins, about 8 nieces/nephews), H's SIL had a meltdown over a photo. Yes, that's right.
