Rather impressed by MIL (sorta BR)
I gotta say - crazy as she might be, MIL is a really good mother.
V had told FIL that we're probably going to buy a bigger place and move before July. FIL emailed us to say, that might not be a good idea - why don't you live with us? (Yeah, right.) Imagine my surprise when MIL responded to say, I understand that you'd probably be more comfortable living in your own home... we're here for you, but we support you in whatever you plan to do. Here I thought she'd be the one insisting that we live with them.
Yesterday we visited them for Christmas lunch. As soon as we got there, the first thing she told me was that she had put fresh linens on the guest bed so that I could nap (a godsend after doing double duty at church for midnight and morning masses). And, despite all the other food that was already around, she offered to make me toast, which happened to be EXACTLY what I needed at the moment. (I was really carsick.)
