***Brookles***

I know zoe mentioned something about her friend, too, but my best friend starts her MLS this spring!  She's doing a long distance thing at Rutgers.  I know she'd be happy to discuss it with you!

Re: ***Brookles***

  • OOoo really? Yeah, that would be awesome... I am very serious about doing it, have read a lot about different programs and read a ton of librarian blogs, but it would be interesting to hear from someone who's doing it!
  • Yay!  Can I pass her your e-mail?

Yes indeed you may-- I really appreciate it!

  • I poked in because I'm nosy.

My mom has her MLS!  She's the director of a small city library in Indiana.  Before that she was the head of the A/V department at the county library in my hometown (basically she went from a big fish in a medium sized pond to the biggest fish in a small pond).

A guy I went to high school with is also finishing up his MLS currently.  Anyway, it's a useful degree if you want to be a librarian. :)

    I'll send you a PM.

    Replied!

Poke away!  I love to hear about librarians/libraries.

I've been thinking about this for awhile but have been dragging my feet, because you're right, it's really only useful if you want to be a librarian ;-). Plus, I'd have to take the GREs again because mine expired. Blech.
