My boss just texted me about work tomorrow. Apparently, she has decided to close the office until noon time but wanted to know my plans for coming in for the afternoon. Seriously? I'm sorry, is it just me or would that really piss you off? 14 - 24 inches are expected here overnight. I don't even want to get on the roads to come in for a full day, let alone only a few hours. Just give us the full damn day. Never mind that she herself already let us know last week she's going to be out tomorrow - she's not even going to be there!!
If the roads get cleared by a reasonable time, maybe I could make it in, but I won't know that until tomorrow, now will I? But she wants to know right now because there is a chain of command at the hospital where I work and she needs to report the status of her department. This woman absolutely kills me. Wouldn't it be easier for her to just make an executive decision to close the department for the day - then she wouldn't need to call around to everyone to find out their "status."
Sorry for the vent - she has done a couple other things to get on my nerves lately so this is setting me off. Am I over-reacting?
Re: What would you say?
if she's wanting an answer right now then id say "no, im not coming in based on the conditions right now since i cant predict what the roads will be like tomorrow"
This!
