Do you have any resolutions/goals for 2011? Is there anything you are looking forward to in the new year?
Re: 2011
The first 3 months of 2011 my goal is to exercise, eat healthy and lose some weight. I want to be nice and healthy by the time DH and I start TTC in April this year! So depending on how TTC goes, I will hopefully spend most of 2011 pregnant and pestering the Maine Nestie girls with all kind of pregnancy/baby questions!!!
Other than that, I'm hoping to do the following in 2011
Get my Etsy shop up and running.
Get more of our house painted, fixed up and decorated.
Make more of an effort to get into volunteer work.
Foster a dog from a rescue organization.
Continue to work on getting out of debt and building a savings account. We've made some progress in 2010, but I want to be even better in 2011.
I really want to work on getting our wedding album/digital scrapbook created and starting a family tree book incorporating dh's family and my family. I would love to get this all done before having a baby....we'll see.
My goal/project for the first 4 mos. is training for a half-marathon which will take place May 7th. I'm pretty excited and nervous about this but I think it will be good!
Other than that, I'm not setting any concrete resolutions or goals. I have a few things I know I need to figure out in the coming year - personal and work-wise - but I'm not really setting deadlines.
I would LOVE to find a way to replace my Jetta with something more reliable and snow-friendly by next winter though!
I'm going to start counting calories with Lose It; I was going to do weight watchers again, but feel irritated by their new Points Plus changeover, so I'll just do it the simple and free way. Weaning Marcus is my other big resolution - we're pretty much down to one session a day, but he's really adamant about that one, so it's going to be a little rough cutting him off. He can become really demanding and cranky around me when I don't or can't nurse him right when he wants it, so it's getting a little frustrating and I'm ready to be done!
Both DH and I turn 30 this year and it's our 5 year wedding anniversary (all the spring). I'd love to go to an all inclusive somewhere warm for a few days together to celebrate, but I'm thinking we won't have the money for that, so we'll have to figure out something a little more local.
I really dont make NY resolutions. I think that if I am going to make a drastic decision to change my live I shouldnt have to wait until Jan1.
Anyways, 2011 is going to be BUSY for us. I am going to finish my PhD, we are remodeling our house to get it on the market. Having a baby in June, moving sometime during the summer. Buying a new house, its going to be a crazy year!!!

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Now that we're officially settled in a community, I want to (top 11 in 2011):
1. reconnect with my faith and community
2. find a cause to volunteer and be proud of - I miss these days!
3. Find a job
4. TTC #2 in the summer
5. Find a job
6. Be a healthy role model to Abby
7. Until number 3 or 5 happens, be aware of spending quality time with Abby ie playgroups, fun things to do.
8. Go to Fort Gorgeous
9. Fly a kite
10. Find a job
11. Be more sensitive and cognizant of MH's needs. This probably should be #1 :-)
Thanks for posting, I'm going to C&P and print as a reminder!
Yup! I've got one! It's always food related and I've been pretty good about keeping them. You ladies helped me with my last year's resolution (which I was late in jump starting, as on New Years Day, we found out we were prego). Last year's was no more bought marinades or salad dressings. Success!!! We did it. Previous years have been cake from scratch, homemade pies and crust, homemade pizza and sauce. I try my hardest to experiment throughout the year until I have it down and no longer need to buy any more of whatever it is. I haven't bought a pizza for home consumption in 2 years (we have gone out, but that doesn't count)...now that's a resolution.
Sooo..this year I am attempting a bigggg one. Bread. I want to no longer be buying bread by the end of this year. Or next year. This one may be a big one so I may have to give myself 2 years.
I always have a back up resolution...giving up drugs. Since I've never been a druggie, I can be sure to keep this one, therefore always being proud of myself for keeping a resolution.
Last year DH and I started a 101 in 1001 list that will end in Sept. of 2012 so we're still plugging away at that. We're in a better place financially so we're planning to check off a few house projects to finish our upstairs and basement. We also just added an eliptical to our "home gym" so I hope that DH and I are able to find more time to work out together. And if 2011 brought us a baby that would be grand.
I started one of these in 2009! Not doing so well with it though. I did well for a few months, but need to get back to it! Thanks for the reminder.
Well, I have a big wedding to attend at the end of August and I would like to be down two sizes by then, so getting myself on track with eating is my number one priority once the new year starts.
I also want to pay off my credit card bill by October and be credit debt free.
