Random: What do you carry/have with you daily?
Are you a minimalist or do you carry everything minus the kitchen sink? Do you only carry what fits in your pockets or do you have a suitcase sized purse plus an additional tote bag?
Re: Random: What do you carry/have with you daily?
I am a hoarder. I have my purse - which always has my wallet, cell phone, sunglasses (rx) with case, eye glass cleaning cloth, a small wristlet with chapstick, a lipstick/lipgloss, hand lotion and blotting papers in it. I also have my inhaler, usually a tampon or a panty liner, a cell phone charger, dental floss, a nail file. When I am going to work I have an additional tote bag where I bring my shoes (in the winter, when I wear boots), my lunch, a nalgene full of water, and usually a book or magazine.
My tote bag is getting ratty though, so I need a new one.. anyone have a suggestion on where to find a nice one?

Must-haves regardless of purse size: license, credit card, gum, chapstick, keys, and cell phone.
I don't carry a huge purse and I try not to have lots of "stuff" in it. I usually have my GPS, camera, a comb, tissue, eye drops, Advil, and Pepto with me. I rarely use the last 3 but I if I do need them I'm super glad they are there.
Lands End. They are great.
I have one from LE, and they do hold up well.. but I hate how stiff and starched the fabric feels. I've never had one that softened up much, they feel uncomfortable when they hang on my arm.

Totally know what you mean. I'm not sure where to find a "comfy" durable tote, sorry. :-(
i carry only the minimum and most of the time, i don't even bring a purse. i have a small wallet that zips shut and has a short wrist strap and a pocket out the outside for my phone so i often just carry that. i don't love the color but i do love the size.
IF i carry a purse, i have my wallet, phone, chapstick/lipgloss, ibuprofen and that's about it.
when i go to work, i bring a backpack, stick my wallet in there and my nook and a bottle of soda water. shoes if needed but i keep all my heels at work in a drawer.
I have a problem with carrying too much stuff. I actually won a baby shower game because of it. My own mother makes fun of me for it.
Now I have the pleasure of carrying around a HUGE diaper bag. It's going to be even worse!
I used to carry a huge tote bag as a purse. Half of it was my junk and the other half was work things that I had to have on me at all times because I was on call 24/7. My family joked about it a lot.
Now I have a medium sized bag and carry my wallet, cell phone, various lip treatments/gloss, tylenol/advil, nail clipper/file, blotting papers, small camera, sunglasses, and extra keys.
In the summer I have a small purse for motorcycling. My normal purses don't fit into my bags because they're teardrop shaped and you enter them from the front instead of the top. I'm always on the look out for a basic black purse that will hold up to shoving into my bags. I kid that I'm going to get one to match the colors of my bike. When we travel on long trips on the motorcycles I have one of those small bags that hooks onto my belt loops. It is just big enough for my cell, a couple of credit cards/my license, my small camera and some cash.
I have many different scenarious. LOL.
For work, I bring my purse...which has my phone, wallet (credit card/check card, license, insurance cards, etc.), both of our checkbooks, a notebook, lotion, chapstick, keys, a couple of pens...the basics. I also have my pump, and a bag with my breakfast and lunch. 3 bags...total bag lady.
If I'm running to the store (especially in the winter), I usually just bring my license, check card/cash, phone and keys.
If I'm going some where with just Olivia (shopping/a quick trip), I usually just have my purse (mentioned above), and I throw a diaper and some to-go wipes in it. She'll carry a cup with water or something in it.
If we're going somewhere with both of them (which usually means it's a longer trip), I have the big diaper bag with wipes, diapers for both, a change of outfit for the baby, some rattles/toys for the baby, water, milk and some snacks for Olivia, and I just throw my license, check card/cash, phone and keys into the side pockets.
Oh geez. I purposely switched to a smaller purse this past fall because I carried everything but the kitchen sink with me.
I'm going back to it... I feel sorta naked without all my stuff. I usually have my wallet, cell phone, 2 or 3 Burt's Bees, pen, paper, iPod, a bottle of water or pop, granola bars, nail clipper, ibuprofen, TUMS, pocket calendar, and then the usual stack of receipts that goes back 5 months or so.
I almost always carry a medium sized purse with my flat wallet, checkbook, iPhone, camera, sunglasses, chapstick, lipgloss, pens, work ID/key, car keys, and gift card wallet. Sometimes I'll throw in a charger for my iPhone.
I do have bigger purses that I'll use if I have to carry more/bigger things on a given day.
When I'm teaching I often carry a tote bag that I throw papers to grade, textbooks, my lunch, and my water bottle into.
My Blog
I would say my purse is medium size. At all times I have my wallet, phone, business cards, blotting papers, finger nail clippers, chapstick, tampon, tylenol, and small wallet for receipts.
For work I carry a reusable grocery bag with my lunch, water, book or homework, and a few snacks.

I carry a lot.
I have an emergency make-up bag with sample touch up stuff. Mini mascara, compact foundation, lipstick, gloss, toothpaste, eyeshadow, liner, blotting tissues, hair tie.
A emergency random kit in a small pouch with hand sanitizer, tissues, safety pins, bobby pins, super glue(totally has come in handy on multiple ocassions), deodorant, shout wipes, ibuprofen, tampons, nail clippers, tweezers.
In the main purse compartment, I have a small notebook, lotion, my wallet, pen, wet wipes to wipe down tables/hands if something is dirty or has spilled, phone, headphones, and a pair of cheapy gloves in case I lose mine.
I tend to do my make up in the car when Anwar's driving, so I have left my makeup in there, and needed backup. Or sometimes I just have had bad days that are busy and I need a refresher.
I like to be prepared.
