Hair Stylist

My current one stood me up and then texted me several hours later apologizing. She was cheap and cut my hair well. My previous stylist never could get my hair the way I wanted it, but she did. I got compliments. But I am annoyed by her not showing up. She was late the time before.

The person who recommended me to her has switched to a new stylist but the new person is twice as much.

How much do you pay for a cut? Would you recommend her or him?

Re: Hair Stylist

  • I live on the north side and work on the south side. I could do both. I go to Norman to see my dentist.
  • I see a great girl in Edmond. When I text her, she usually can get me in within the week. She is $65 for cut and color. By color, for me, that is all over highlights or lowlights of one color. So I imagine around $30 for just a cut. For the cut and color, my friends act like that price is un-heard of.  They pay well over $100 for cut and color. They are always begging for her number. And she has never let me down on doing exactly what I wanted. I'd reccomend her completely. If you're interested, let me know. I'm sure she woldn 't mind a referral. :)

  • I pay $40 for a cut at Trichology. Ask for Addison. Love her... she's the first person I've ever gone to more than once or twice. I walk out of there happy every time.

  • I go to Heather at Salon West on Southside and pay $80 for two colors/cut/tip. I love her! It took me awhile to find a hairstylist who can do what I ask or just create a look on me that is amazing. I drive from Edmond to see her.
  • I go to a girl in Yukon, she is pretty new out of school, so she's cheap, but I think she's really good, I love her!  I have longer hair, so it's pretty easy.  I have several friends who go to her who have varies length of hair and she does great on all of them.  It's $25 for a cut last time I went (about 3 months ago).  She's at Shaggy's in Yukon, her name is Jessica.  :-)
  • I get my hair cut at a hole in the wall salon in Bixby, OK (probably much further away than you'd be willing to drive). She only charges $12 and that includes shampooing and a trim. She does a pretty good job, but she seems to hate her job so I've been thinking about looking elsewhere. I usually give her $20 ($8 tip).
