I normally don't, simply b/c I tend to make them unattainable and I don't keep myself accountable very well. This year though, I have a few that I think I can keep and I thought I would share...

BFP #1 - May 2011 - m/c @ 8weeks
IUI #1 - July 26 2012 - Femara = BFN
Suprise BFP Jan 15 2013. Hope this one sticks!
I have a few craft related ones I'll share as one...
1. Finish the quilt I started about 2 years ago... Catch up on my scrapbooking... Start making/selling more of my glass etching stuff--- possibly start an etsy shop related to this....
2. Get a real, full-time job--- even if it isn't in teaching.
3. work more on fully letting go of people in my life that do nothing but bring me down. This one is going to be HARD for me, but I've been working towards it for a while, so maybe.
4. I want to lose some weight, but this may be one of the things I mentioned that tends to be hard to keep myself accountable for..
hmm... I think that's it for now. I just started thinking about this today, so maybe more will come out of nowhere...
I want to lose a few pounds... I mean I don't look that bad--- but I could look better
)
I also wanna instate Alicia's idea about since I don't leave the house that often- whenever I DO leave the house- I wanna look GOOD. So that's my game plan. I've been watching "how to" tutorials on youtube for makeup--since I'm makeup stupid.
Datsyuks & Ferdy- We Go Together Like...
I'm not doing resolutions, per say, but I am doing 11 in '11. My friend made a small journal to keep track of everything. Some of them are
1. finish my niece's scrapbook
2. read a book a month from the library (I always buy books)
3. plan a get together with my besties
4. travel to a new place
5.try a new recipe every month
6. save money
I can't remember all of them and losing weight is not on it just because I know I won't stick to it if it's a resolution.
Edit: I remembered two more. Donate to a charity/good will/something at least once a month and give blood every 3 months (I used to do this all the time but got tired of fainting but I will bring crackers and get over it).
My sister wants to be a teacher, but can look like she's only 17 sometimes. She knew she'd have to start wearing make-up soon so last Christmas, I bought her a GC to our salon where one of the girls will walk you through the process and help you find what colors look best on you. If that's not an option, see if you can find a friend who can show you. Youtube is awesome, but sometimes it's helpful to have someone who can show you things in person. FWIW, I haven't left the house without makeup since probably high school, but I still think I suck at it.
My resolution is always the same every year, and it will be no different this year:
lose weight!
Blog
I usually stink at resolutions as well, but this year has to be different. I will be a mom in 5 months so I want to stick with a few things:
1. Lose weight and keep it off. (granted I'm pregnant.. I have lost 10 lbs in my first 15 weeks of pregnancy, which is great by me because I was about 25 pounds overweight according to my height.)
2. Use my gym membership atleast two times a week before baby comes. After baby, keep off weight by walking and swimming.
3. Clean out my garage and get rid of everything that I do not need any longer!
Thats all that I have so far.. but I'm sure more will be added.
I have a couple:
1. Actually do my hair/make up and not look like a bum every day. Similar to Ferdy's. My new haircut, which is interesting and the jury is still out on whether or not I like it, makes straightening a breeze. It now takes me like 5 min to do my whole head. And I actually LIKE putting on make up; the feeling of the brush on my face. I'm just lazy about it. I want to get up earlier and get to work earlier. So maybe this resolution should just be STOP BEING LAZY!
2. Get organized, again. I am usually ridiculously over the top, OCD about being organized and having things planned, etc. However, I tend to be so OCD about it that a couple of unexpected occurrences derail me and then I end up in the rut I'm in now where H and I haven't planned any meals in 3 weeks and because of that we have NO food in the house. Again, this should just be STOP BEING LAZY!
3. Get rid of the chub rub! I suppose this is technically "lose weight", but for some reason the chub rub pisses me off the most. If I wear a skirt and no tights/leggings, I get a rash. My jeans and pants wear out in the upper thigh area so I need new ones more quickly than skinny people. Of course, in order to lose weight I need to exercise and eat right, which goes hand in hand with #2. And if I lose weight and don't have (as many) body image issues, I'm much more likely to continue doing #1. And, as with the previous two, this can be summarized as STOP BEING LAZY!
So really, I have one resolution: STOP BEING LAZY!
The Princess of Anything is Coming!
Had a dream I was queen.
Woke up. Still queen.
Our resolutions are mostly money based:
1. Pay off at least $8500 of student loan principle.
2. Start saving for house down payment.
3. Save for a new car....hopefully buy the new car too.
House related:
1. Finish painting dining and living room.
2. Finish hardwood floors (just need a couple more protective coats).
3. Decorate/get organized.
Good for you Ferdy!
and excitedbride - you made me think. Maybe I should try to budget/save better. I can be pretty scatter brained about stuff like that.

I decided last year that I would not call them resolutions and I wouldn't start on January 1st because it created more pressure and more of a chance that I wouldn't actually do it. (Shameless plug to blog post about it here.)
So my "things to do in 2011" are:
1. Bye bye stupid bills. While I'd love to spend the extra money I'm getting from my raise for fun stuff, its going towards bills until the bills go away. I'm sure I'll mess up at some point, so I'm giving myself a $300 cushion.
2. Tone. If I call it exercising I know I won't do it. So I'll call it toning up. Because the last time I was on this birth control I gained 10 lbs. practically overnight. Then, I could afford to gain 10 lbs. Now, not so much.
3. Put more effort into my blog. I was all gung-ho about it up until about 2 months before the wedding. Then I was too wedding-tired to post. Then I was too "eh, I ran out of fun stuff to make and no one reads my blog anyway." and now I'm "The holidays wore me out. I'll do better next year."
Married / The Cookaholic Wife
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
I don't usually do resolutions but this year I'm going to attempt a couple!
1. Make dinner home more, DH and I eat out at least 3x a week and we never get out of a restaurant for under $150.00
2. Stop wanting so many new things. I am always buying clothes, shoes, bags, etc. And it's expensive stuff - it has to stop. Right after I buy my Louis Vuitton bag next week :-)
3. Spend less time online. :-/
