What are your plans for NYE?

We have already decided to stay home with tiny...I told my mom and dad we wouldn't be needing their babysitting services this year. I never really like going out on NYE...too many drunks on the road and I'm always ready to pass out by 10pm. Embarrassed

I'd rather wait until the weekend or two after!

We are Thundering it up. Like you, boymom, I like to either stay in or get home early to stay away from the amateur drunks. Even I don't drink on NYE - what is there really to celebrate anyway?

I'm going out with my best friend and some of her co-workers. First time I've ever gone out on NYE, so it should be interesting. I already volunteered to be DD.

We never do anything on NYE, but I think this year we're going to stay in a hotel in Tulsa and spend the weekend up there shopping and stuff.

We are having dinner at a friend's house with 3 other couples. Should be a low-key, relaxing evening.

We never really do much for NYE. It's become tradition that my parents make it up this way to do Christmas with us and then stay for New Year's Day. So we are just hanging out and probably eating alot. I usually don't make it to midnight so I'll probably be in bed around 10 or 10:30.

We don't have any plans yet. We stayed home last year, so I'd like to go somewhere but just to a friends house or something--I don't like going "out" on NYE.

we are going to the Thunder game too. I am excited because our anniversary is Jan 3rd so we usually go out on NYE and celebrate our anniversary too. NYE is my favorite holiday so I am super exicted.

Staying at home with our lil' one. We had plenty of offers for a babysitter but hubby and I don't drink since I am BF'ing. So, I dont feel like facing the drunks.

I am paranoid about going out on NYE because of all of the drunk drivers. We talked about having a get-together here, but H and I decided to enjoy some quality time alone together after DS goes to bed (DD will be celebrating Christmas with her dad's family). We're going to play a couple of board games I got for Christmas and either watch a movie or play a video game of H's choosing.

My birthday is new years day so hopefully the hubbs has something planned. Neither one of us drink so I'm sure we will just do dinner but he said something about inviting his sister to go but I hope not! I'm sure we will end up doing nothing though.

We're spending it with DH's group of friends from high school. When everybody is back at their parents' houses over Christmas, they like to get the "old gang" back together. Everybody spends the night, so no need to worry about drunk drivers, then we all go out to Cracker Barrel in the morning. Not sure how that tradition started, but since last year was my first time participating, I just go with the flow.

Chinese food and movies. Drunk people make me nervous, especially en masse, so I'm more of a stay-at-home kinda girl when it comes to NYE.
