Talk to me about Disney Value Resorts
And go.

Re: Talk to me about Disney Value Resorts
They are affordable and highly themed. It is a basic hotel room. It includes resort transportation to all parks and a large food court. This is not a Marriott or a Hyatt, it is more like a motel 6 on Disney steroids. Keep in mind, you will probably not be spending a whole lot of time at the hotel, it is a place to sleep and maybe go for a swim.
We have stayed at All Star Music several times and like it. I am staying at Pop the end of January for a mother-daughter trip with Lauren.
Disney's way of trying to fit a few extra hundred people in the doors. They're like giant motels that are super flashy. Most of time they have large groups (cheerleading competitions, dance programs, high school bands) staying there, and you tend to feel like cattle being herded around. And they're usually not super close to any of the parks, so it can take awhile to get where you want to go.
I've known many people who are happy in a Value Resort if they're visiting for a weekend or couple of days. For an extended trip (4 days plus) I would definitely recommend something in the Moderate range for some additional space and comfort. You'll spend more time in your room than you think, and you want to be comfortable (especially with LOs)
