Need a great chili recipe!
As I mentioned in the New Year's post, we're doing a chili cook off on the first. I need a winning recipe! I've made chili just a few times and it's good but I need something special. Help!
Re: Need a great chili recipe!
I JUST made Chili yesterday. Of course I don't have a a great recipe since I just threw a bunch of stuff into a pot, but I'd reccomend either using ground turkey or steak chunks. It definately adds something extra to it!
You may want to look into a chipotle ranche seasoning. I always love the way chipotle ranche tastes in ANYTHING!
Good luck! If you don't mind sharing your recipe with me when your done that would be AWESOME!
ETA: WOW I totally didn't realize my work computer was logged on with this account!
I made this
and DH liked it. Its healthy and easy...
This isn't a chili recipe, but it does have the word chili in it
It's an appetizer but every time I make it it gets rave reviews. Maybe this could be your "added bonus" to bring along with your chili to the party. And it's super easy to make.
Cream Cheese Chili Appetizer
1 can of cranberry sauce
4 oz. can of green chiles, chopped (Old El Paso)
2T sliced green onion
1T lime juice
1/2 t garlic salt
1/2 t cayenne pepper
1/2 t chili powder
8 oz. brick of cream cheese
Combine ingredients and mix. Best when refrigerated over night. Pour over cream cheese brick. Serve with crackers of your choice, I usually use Ritz Crackers.
