Anyone have anything interesting planned?

We're going over to a friend's place for a party. His claim to fame is his discerning taste in alcohol, so I think it will be fun but not too crazy. Before I used to like to go to those huge parties in the city, but this year it just seems more appealing to be indoors the whole time and actually be able to talk with friends.

We're going out to dinner with friends and then we're all heading over to my sister and brother-in-law's house. They have a bar, pool table, and big screen tv in their basement so it should be fun! I'm with you though on not wanting to go out to those big parties...I've always preferred just hanging out with friends at someones house!

My friend always throws a NYE party, so she took all the leftover beer, wine and champagne from our wedding and has been storing it in her garage. We won't use it so she might as well. We'll go over there and her parents (cute 90yo British guy and Japanese woman) will get drunk. Her dad will compose poetry for all of us. Its really comical and awesome. Its usually a low key night.

I'm looking forward to spending the night in, just H and I. Except after being snowed in these past few days I am wondering if we should have gone over to a friend's for a low key party...I haven't left the house since Saturday between Christmas and this dang snow!

Our friends throw a themed party every NYE, nothing too crazy or over the top. This year it is a Disco theme, oh what to wear? I should really go shopping soon

We are hosting our annual NYE party, though our friends have kind of disbursed this year so not 100% who is coming yet. I need to find out soon to get a headcount for snacks.

i think we'll be staying in and playing board games. we may extend the invite to friends and family around town but we're not sure if we'd rather keep it just the two of us this year.

We're going to a friend's house to watch movies and drink champagne and eat. It's going to be a quiet New Year's Eve. New Year's Day, however, we're going to a friend's masquerade party. I'm really looking forward to both.

A masquerade party sounds really fun! I don't think I've ever been to one... Halloween parties are not the same thing!

Well I chose to babysit till 2am on NYE and then head down to the strip since NYE doesnt end at midnight in Las Vegas!
