Anyone have any fun New Years plans in the works?
I think DH and I are going downtown for new years eve for the first time with some friends (we usually go to get-togethers at people's houses), so that should be fun. It just got me wondering what everyone else was up to!
Re: New Years plans?
No exciting plans for me. DH has to work NYE and NY Day. We are having one more Christmas celebration during the day on NYE with some family, though. That should be fun!
Unfortunately New Year's just isn't our holiday. I have to work the night of the 31st, 1st and 2nd. Maybe we will go out to a fun dinner on Thursday or Monday night, we've got a few gift cards to different places, and we're dying for a date.
In our 9 NYE's together, we have spent 3 in the same place. I was a swimmer in college and we were always on our annual training trip in Ft. Lauderdale over Christmas break. Last year and this year I've had to work. We spent 2 together in high school, and one together during nursing school after I graduated from undergrad. I was really hoping we would be able to spend our first NYE together, but I guess it's just not in the cards
next year!
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.

I love you, Daddy...2/24/1953 to 2/13/2011
We always do an early dinner with my family. Usually go out to a nice restaurant around 4'ish. Usually when the kids are with us for NYE...we try to do something fun. Last year we went to an indoor waterpark in Sandusky and celebrated with a dance party and swimming! Very fun!
This year, my daughter went to visit her dad but the boys didn't want to go. We may just chill at home and let the boys invite some friends over. Rent movies, play video games, maybe invite my mom over for a bit.
We've been so rushed these past few months...I really just want some time to be with my family at home.
Next year...we're considering taking all the kids and heading to a ski resort in Cleveland for the weekend.

Normally I'm just the stay at home type too, but this year we said what the heck. Better do it before we have kids.
Although staying in is looking pretty appealing...sounds like a fun little date night!
