I'm here. We normally shut the business down from Christmas Eve until the first of the year, but this year it was looking like it was going to be somewhat busy so we stayed. As much as I wish I was laying on the beach in the Mexican Riviera like last year, I am grateful for the work.
So far no plans for NYE. I was contemplating meeting up with my brother and his friends in Vegas, but that just seems like so much energy.
I am here. I am off this week (thank you floating holidays). I am getting ready to visit my sister and help her out with the baby. I will be back on Thursday.
We will be doing our tradition of ordering Chinese food and drinking in our pjs. I am so over going out on NYE.
I am here working until Thursday. I never take time off at the end of the year because we never go out of town I would rather save my vacation days for Spring and Summer.
DH and I are celebrating NYE with my mom and some Chinese takeout this year. It will be my first sober NYE since I was 15. My mom bought some sparkling apple cider for us to toast if I even make it to midnight, lol.
I'm here. Visiting family in Fresno for the holidays but going back up to Monterey on Friday for NYE with DH. The joy of being a teacher is I get a lot of time off.
No big plans for NYE, DH's family is going to Rose Parade but we decided not to since I have to be back at work on the 3rd and that's a lot of driving. We will probably just go out for dinner then watch the ball drop at home. We also don't want to spend a ton of money going out because we leave for our honeymoon on the 7th and want all the fun money we can have for that
H's birthday is Jan 1 so we'll have a few friends over at our house on New Year's eve. I love singing happy birthday at the end of the countdown!
I'm here, working through Thursday. T is working this weekend so we won't be doing anything out for NYE. We'll make mac and cheese and crack a bottle of wine.
I am heading down to Jersey for my friend's birthday lunch on NY day, although I'd love to stay home and hibernate.
I'm here - working from home today, and have to go into the office tomorrow - Thursday I'm off (using my personal day for the last full day of the year) and Fri is a holiday for us, yay!
NYE - we'll stay home - let's see if I can manage to stay up until midnight as I usually fail at this since my eyelids get heavy around 1030pm at night.
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.

Yes, we're here. Just got married 16 days ago to my Junior Prom Date from High School. With our wedding in the middle of the winter holidays, we were worried whether or not we'd make it to NYE alive. So far so good (even with all the extra visits from our family)!

Depending on the amount of RSVP's, I might be headed to Sebastopol tonight. If not, I'm free until Friday night and Saturday night. My husband, on the other hand, is working half days all week long (just like last week).
Any fun plans for New Year's?
When you're in the nightclub industry, holidays are celebrated in creative ways. This year, my husband and I will go to a sushi restaurant before I go to work so that he can enjoy bottomless sake and so that I can get a few rounds of raw fish in my belly.

Any fun plans for New Year's? SIL, J and I were going to go to a local German restaurant/bar to toast in the New Year, but we haven't heard much about plans. Worst comes to worse we'll probably just watch the ball drop and have some bubbly (non-alcoholic for me).

I'm here -- working and lurking. Our family is primarily local, so we didn't have to travel anywhere. DH has to work all week too (he even had to work Monday, which he typically has off).
Any fun plans for New Year's?
We're still waiting to see if DH will be off that night (he'll likely have very few NYE's off throughout his career). He will either have to work during the day on NYE (and possibly New Year's Day), or he'll have to work the night of NYE. Either way, he's also on call through Sunday, so if something bad goes down, he'll get called in.
We're planning on having dinner at Ruth's Chris that evening, with one of his coworkers and his wife (his coworker has to work NYE night). Then, if DH has to work that night, I'll go to a friend of a friend's party. If he is off, I'll stay home with DH (who will likely go to bed early, wake up for the countdown, and then go back to bed).
Are you in town or away visiting someone? We got back from visiting my family yesterday (Mon) afternoon. No plans to visit anyone else.

I'm around. We didn't visit anyone this year, so we're at home. I don't work, but DH is working Mon-Wed this week.

Not really. We might go to our friends' house and play games or we might do nothing at all.

Monday, Thursday and Friday are university holidays (and the buildings are closed with heat off today and tomorrow). John is working Mon - Wed and is the only lawyer in his group so he's been busy
Any fun plans for New Year's? John is in a wedding in San Jose. Still debating if I'm joining him or not.... Last week I would have said yes, but I've been fighting a cold and having a bad cold and being 37 weeks pg makes me feel so unattractive, the last thing I want to do is dress up and stay out late. We'll see what happens. If I stay home, I'll be home alone for 3 days and I'm not sure I want that either.

Here. Working 3 days this week. It's super slow so I went home an hour early today, and I'm going in later the next two days.
We'll be at my brother's for NYE. Going to dinner with a group and then back to his house for drinks and counting down!
I'm here! Still lurking mostly, but I had a moment to get my computer on this evening. All of our family is in town and they came to us so that was especially nice.
We are going out for an early dinner on NYE. My mom offered to come babysit for a few hours so we could get out together for the first time. I'm excited to go out, but nervous to leave J for the first time.
In town. Going to work for Wed and Thursday this week. Then I have Friday off. DH had his last day at his old job today. Starts new one on Monday. Yeah - we didn't coordinate that too well.
We usually spend NYE with BIL and SIL. Usually a lot of alcohol, food, and Family Guy are on the docket. This year is no exception.
I'm here. Still at the ILs in Santa Clara, but driving home today and so looking forward to it after the oddesey to Indiana.
I work Thursday, then am off Friday. We've been invited to a black and white New Year's Eve ball hosted by my friend's new boyfriend, so we're looking forward to that. Have to find something to wear.
