Hello, ladies! I've missed you!

Just thought I'd check in for a minute and say hello.  My procedure went well enough (albeit not perfect), but recovery has been...less pleasant.  I suppose that's one way of putting it.  Long, uninteresting story, short - it was a little more involved than originally planned, I'm much more sore than anticipated (although, I am happy to report that I did see improvement on that when I woke up this morning), and I had an excessive bleeding issue followed by a near whole body infection situation that had me back in the hospital for a little bit getting a few rounds of IV meds.

Right now I am on high dose oral antibiotics, as well as a full dozen other medications that will speed up my regeneration process. Wink  I am sore, swollen/puffy, bruised from all the IVs, and a little out of it, but all in all I think I'm going to live. Smile  This has extened our trip by several days, but no one seems to mind extra time in a 4 star hotel with an indoor pool, recreation area with billiard tables, cooked to order breakfasts each morning, and fully stocked manager's receptions every evening.  Haha.  I suppose there are worse places to recover.

I won't bother posting them all on here, but we've photodocumented much of my adventure and they can be found on FB.

I hope you are all doing well, had lovely holidays, and are looking forward to your first married New Year's Eves!

(I've read a few posts and wanted to express my sympathies to Shasta for the loss of her dog, wish good luck to the ones having car troubles right now, thank those who have shown such care over my situation, and offer congratulations on those who have had new jobs or family members come their way in the past week!  Oh - and happy slightly beleated birthday, Meagan - I hope baby J is feeling better!)
