Karma and I are not on speaking terms...

I am very upset with her right nowTongue Tied

Yesterday on the highway a GIANT pothole opened up and there were about 10 cars that had double flats. I luckily missed it and was SO grateful! I was working my way through a mini financial crisis yesterday and things were acually looking up. Now on our way home last night my tire pressure light comes on. We puill over at and hear air puring out of my tire and there is a giant screw sticking out of it! WTF!? So, now I have to possibly purchase a new tire for my new car. yay! So much for good things happening to those who do good deeds.

I haven't given up on her yet though. I swear good things must be coming my way!

Re: Karma and I are not on speaking terms...

  • please excuse my spelling above. Have not had my coffee yet!
  • Oh goodness! What about patching your tire? Did you keep the screw in so you can find the hole? Unless it really tore your tire up!

I know my dad has done that before with his big pick-up work truck and it definitely has saved time and money.

    Anniversary

  • ugg, i hate that.  My dad is always overly worried abt driving ove peper bags and such on the road incase they are full of screw/nails...Hope your day cheers up!
  • I left the screw in and it isn't in the side wall so I am hoping they can patch it. We just bought our cars a few months ago and I *think we got road hazard so they may replace it for free. DH is calling today so i'm keeping my fingers crossed!
  • How awful, good luck!

Since you left the screw in and b/c of the placement of it, hopefully you can have them patch it.

We got a nail in our tire about 2 months ago and luckily they were able to patch it.  We went from thinking we'd have to spend $100+ on a new tire to spending only $25 for the labor to patch.

    Fingers crossed for you!

  • If the screw is in the tread it's very often patch-able, and most tire places will do this for free.  :-)  Take it in - I've been very pleasantly surprised by the size of nails they can take out and repair!

I, however, found a deep pothole last Thursday that killed the side wall of my tire - which isn't patch-able!  Boo.... Hopefully my new tire came in today, as I'm sick of running around on my donut spare!
