Who's around today? What are you up to? I'm back to working from home on my 50 state legal survey. Yay for homework! Lots to do today. I'm also watching Hoarders, so that should be productive.
Re: Good morning loverlies
I'm home today, essentially snowbound. No car, the sidewalks are hit or miss, but the intersections are the worst and a no go for the stroller. I may throw her in the carrier and walk to the store just for something to do later.
I was watching Hoarders yesterday. Today it's Toddlers and Tiaras.
I really want to do something different with my hairs, but don't have a regular hairstylist I trust, so I'm scouring reviews online to try to find someone worth gambling on. Thinking about a slightly longer than chin length layered bob. Also thinking about going back to blond.

F and I are home today while Ian is at daycare. We're planning to clean the basement and closets but at the moment we're watching Sportscenter and drinking coffee.
What's the legal issue you are surveying?

I'm at work, doing nothing. It's going to be a slap in the face when there are actually people here next week and I have to be here on time, stay all day, look presentable, and do shiit.
cmc, I'm itching to shop too. I want to spend my Christmas monies but I'm waiting until one store comes out with their spring 2011 catalog. Which should have happened yesterday. Dammit.
The nerve!

I'm afraid I'm not going to find any good deals. I remember so many stores being practically bare after Christmas last year.

Wow Mashed. That really sucks. Food poisoning maybe?
Kay - I'm working on a 50 state survey of laws related to payment of wages and payroll. Fun. I also need to finalize my research/report on the federal laws on the issue. Blah boo. My one compliant about leaving a law firm is not having Westlaw. My company would never pay for it, and I don't necessarily think it would be logical for us to do so. I just miss it.

Oh mashed, I hope you feel better quickfast! And that it's just gas.
Is it like under your diaphragm, more to the right? Do you still have a gall bladder?

Thanks cmc!
Mashed, that sucks. Sometimes really bad heartburn feels like that to me. I hope you progressively feel better.
I want to shop too. I was teased with the prospect of gift certificates for Christmas but I was lied to.

I'm back to work after 6 days off. I caught a killer cold leading up to Christmas and had 3 sick days last week.
Had a great Christmas, though, Lila was really excited about it all and we had a ton of fun with her. Some Xmas Xerpts
We listened to her talk to herself outside the bedroom for a bit, her stocking was on her chair and a Chrismas mickey and Minnie were in her crib. She talked about Santa and kissmas and then sang a little jingle Bells before we went in,
upon entering her room Christmas morning "mewwy kissmas, Dad. mewwy kissmas mom....Mommy I POOPED" Of course the damned video camera wasn't on yet.
upon arriving at the Dr's office for my prenatal appt yesterday "MOM ALLIGATOR!" "where, Lila, mommy doesn't see it" "ALLIGATORALLIGATORALLIGATOR" it wasn't until we were inside and we were right infront of the elevator that i realized what she was talking about.
I had that last week Mashed - terrible stomach pains and then I eventually threw up and felt much better. There is all kinds of nasty stuff going around here...let's hope yours was just a quick bug and will be gone pronto!
I am the office physically but mentally I'm far far away. DH is off work all week and it suuuuucks getting up in the morning when he's still snoozing all warm and comfy. :-( BUT, he's getting a lot done around the house so yay!
Same here. I hate it! But I can't complain...he got me a new car radio for Christmas, and took it to get installed yesterday. Yay for no longer sitting in silence while driving all about!

What, you mean they aren't free with unlimited usage to everyone?

I'm here for a little. My parents and sister are up until Sunday but we are just hanging out right now. We have some plans to visit relatives/friends they haven't seen the next few days, so I am okay with that.
I've also been having some pains in my right side for a few days, especially when I sleep on that side. I am attributing it to things stretching right now, but it's kind of high (under the ribs) and near the back of my right side. It comes and goes, and it's more of a nuisance than anything, so I haven't done anything about it (i.e. called the doc). *sigh* I probably should though.
I have this too but it's my left side. Other than that it's exactly how you describe. Up high and to the back. It's such a weird thing. It was really bad this morning but has gone away this afternoon. That is really weird. I've been feeling generally crappy for a few days but this is the one thing that I can pinpoint rather than just a general feeling of blah and ick.
