Good Morning!

I'm going through withdrawals since raynes is not around...especially since I am off work and can actually be nesting before 5pm!

So, how is everyone's week so far?  Plans for the day?

So far my week has been pretty laid back.  I had to take Ed's car to get fixed yesterday because the people who put on his tires screwed up and didn't tighten something enough.  Then I had a dentist appointment (I LOVE the dentist, so I was excited about that--I know, I'm weird).

Today my only real plans are to get in a run and to return some movies that Ed rented this weekend.  I can't believe it is already Wednesday!  This week is flying by!

Re: Good Morning!

  • I'm still in Ottawa! We had a big day yesterday, lunch with university friends (which meant getting together with my ex and his wife and baby as part of a group), a movie and paella making with my high school friends. All 'round, it was a great day!

Today we're planning on board games and video games and general slothery.

  • Good morning, ladies.  I'm still thoroughly enjoying my vacation.  We slept until 7:30 this morning - a complete luxury.

Today will be something outdoors, and preparing for DH's family get-together (here) on Friday.

    Have a great day, everyone!

  • Good morning all!

It's been a busy week or so ever since Christmas Eve, with Christmas GTGs and yesterday was the funeral of my marriage sponsor. Today I'm meeting an old friend for a quick lunch but otherwise no big plans. Tomorrow and Friday will be do-nothing days which I am really, really excited about!

  • Good Morning, we just got back from Christmas with my birth family. It was a really good time. My nephew is the cutest kid ever, I want him. Today we're cooking African food and playing board games with my siblings.

Oh also I found out where I'm teaching when I go back... the same place I was at, just in a different position.

  • We made it home late last night. I'm physically and emotionally exhausted. I forgot some of the family dynamics that would surface while I was there. I'm at work today, and I totally f*cked up and forgot to do something before I left, it's not earth-shattering, but enough to get me in trouble first thing in the morning on my first day back. I swear these people look for reasons to attack you.

Thankfully it's a just today and tomorrow and then I get to enjoy a few days with Aaron all to myself, and have 3 bottles of champagne at home.

  • I'm glad to hear that most everyone is having a good week.  Frankly, mine has kinda sucked.  First, we found out from the insurance company that the leak we disovered is not covered by our insurance.  We're going have to reseal the foundation and replace the entire first floor wood floor, which fortunately isn't that big, but is still a huge pain and expense.  If that wasn't bad enough, B got a flat driving home yesterday, which really isn't that big of a deal but still.  Then late last night, B went to fill the humidifier and the faucet broke off.  There wasn't a shutoff on the water pipe, so we had to have a plumber come in a cap the pipes until we figure out what we're going to do with that bathroom (we had been planning to remodel it, and I guess now is our chance).  On top of that work is still insanely busy.  So if anyone has any cheer up vibes, I would definitely take them.  Rant over.  Thanks ladies.

  • Hello ladies!! Glad to hear from you guys. Today we are spending it with some good friends. We are planning on having dinner at some sushi place by the beach in Corpus Christi followed by a game night at their place.

  • Good morning ladies! I have the morning off today, so I'm spending it catching up on Days of Our Lives and cleaning my house.

Not anything exciting going on this week, I just work a ton.

    Have a good week ladies!

  • Ooh, what will you be doing?
  • I have till January 4th off. So I am busy doing nothing at home...well other than the normal cleaning, making dinner etc. January 1st is my Birthday so I am hoping to be doing something special that day. The last week has been rather busy and we finally arrived at home.

Neptoon- Sorry to hear that your last few days haven't been very good, sending lots of cheery vibes your way, hopefully your week will turn around.

I'm going to be a cross categorical Special Ed teacher, so more like my job last year, where I work with students in smaller groups, or co-teaching with a regular education teacher. I'm not sure what kinds of kids I'll have but can't be as bad as my other ones :)

  • I've been at work all week.  Today was interesting to say the least.  One of my technicians is getting on my last nerve because she is not very bright and for the work she is doing, she needs to be doing much better.  Also, doctors writing for meds that will harm/kill people is always great.

After work I busted out my new reflective vest and went for a run outside!  The city sucks at plowing and people are even worse at clearing sidewalks but I was glad to get 5miles in that wasn't on the treadmill.

  • Oh, hai guys.  We've been busting our butts working on the house the last few days.  We've been sleeping in a bit and then either going to visit family or working.

I've been checking in every so often, but I'm certainly not around enough for a GM post.

I hope everyone is doing well, I'll be back in full force on Jan 3rd!
