AW: Puppy is coming home a day early!
As many of you know, DH and I are getting a yellow lab puppy...we were supposed to pick him out this past Monday and bring him home on Saturday (1/1), but because of the recent bad weather here we were unable to choose a puppy on Monday.
The breeder asked us if we wanted to come choose/take him home on Friday instead, which we decided it would be better as we'd have an extra night with him before heading back to work on Monday, and he can get settled in a little before we have some visitors coming to meet him on Saturday. So our New Year's Eve will be spent with our new little one!
So excited!

That will be good you have an extra day because he will need to go out every couple hours to go potty. When we first got Niko I went home every day at lunch for a few months until he was able to hold it.
That's so exciting!!!!!! 2 more days!!!!!! I bet you're estatic!!!
We're picking ours up on Saturday morning!! And we're going shopping for her tonight!! I'm so excited!!

I remember when we brought Oscar home at 10 wks old...it was the best car-ride of my life, even though I had to do the driving.
If you have one, or can borrow one, I highly recommend taking videos of Jasper during the first few days you have him. Puppies are soo curious and funny. We recorded Oscar and I love re-watching it and remembering his first couple days with us.

Hannah, you have no idea how excited I am to cuddle him on the ride home! And I have a video function on my camera so I will definitely be taking some videos in addition to photos, which I will of course post this weekend!

carrie, that is SO exciting!! lab puppies are soooo precious! they love to chew, so make sure to have plenty of chew toys around!
i have a toy poodle (named carlie). petsmart sells warming cuddle toys....they are about the size of a puppy....you microwave the toy and put it with the new puppy for the first few nights at your house. my breeder told me to get one because they help with the seperation anxiety puppies experience the first few nights away from their brothers/sisters....it worked SO well with carlie....she snuggled with it and fell asleep pretty quickly....there was no crying through the night
she loved the cuddle toy!!
i can't wait to see pictures of jasper!! have fun on Friday!!
