Wedding Attire Help, Please!

DH and I are going to a wedding this weekend.  He's in the wedding, as a reader, so we're going to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner as well.  Can I wear this...

... with black pants to the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner?  (I couldn't find the exact sweater, the one I have doesn't have the belt and it has full long sleeves.)  Then, this...

... to the wedding and reception?  It didn't come with the belt.  I was also going to wear a sweater with it - I'm toying between red or black.

Re: Wedding Attire Help, Please!

  • I think the sweater and black pants is perfectly appropriate - I picture it with some chunky fun jewelry too.  The dress... well the snow is 4 feet deep here and I just am thinking about how cold that would be!  You're a braver woman than I am.  Stick out tongue
  • Haha, we're in the midwest and it's been snowy lately, but it's supposed to be in the 50's this weekend.  Long dresses don't exist and I feel like pants aren't dressy enough.  I'm definitely wearing a long sleeved sweater with it! :)  I've also noticed that churches and receptions get hot with all those bodies in 1 room, so hopefully it'll be ok.

  • The dress does seem super short, but like you said, it's supposed to be much warmer this weekend.  Both are fine--I'd got with a red sweater for the dress.

    Matt loves Munkii!!!
  • I think they both look good. I agree with witty, the rehearsal sweater would look great with some chunky earrings.

And that reception dress is so cute! I would go with the red sweater, and probably wear black tights with it too. Although I have neither the body, nor the cajones to pull that dress off, so take the tights advice how you want. Stick out tongue
