Need food ideas

My parents are coming in for NYE. We aren't really doing much but just eating and playing some games. I've been trying to think of what food we could make for that night. I don't want to do a huge meal but just appertizers. This is what I have planned so far:

Stuffed bell peppers

Queso and chips

Cream Cheese topped with a pepper jelly and crackers

Mini pigs-in-a-blanket

Pinwheel appetizers

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Cheese ball and crackers Little smokies and BBQ sauce Shrimp and cocktail sauce Chex mix I know it's not many ideas bit it may help.

  • Jalapeno poppers would be good.  Cut the pepper in half length wise, de-seed, put in cream cheese and wrap with half a slice of bacon.  Secure with a toothpick and bake 375 for 40-45 minutes. SO GOOD.

  • For Christmas, one of the things I made was meatballs.  They were a HUGE hit.  I was lazy and just used frozen meatballs, but the sauce was amazing.  I melted half a squeeze bottle of grape jelly and one jar of chili sauce together and then let the meatballs marinate in it in the crockpot.  Best meatballs I've ever had!

My mom makes meatballs with this sauce every year at Christmas and they're SO good!

At our Christmas Eve gathering, the biggest hit was the hummus I made.  I had pita bread and cucumber slices to dip in it.

  • Thanks for all the suggestions. All of these sound delicious!
