Re: Toddlers and Tiaras

  • I think I watched about 2 minutes of it once and that was all I could stand.

  • Isn't it awful??  Having a toddler, I can't even fathom putting him through that, not to mention placing such priority on physical appearances.  Poor kids  :o(

  • I watched it today while wrapping more Christmas presents, and it was the first time it ever made me cry!!   The poor little girl in the blue dress up there whining about wanting the "presents" she can see off to the side and her mother basically threatening her through her teeth!  What child can even understand the concept???  I felt so sorry for that little girl and just wanted to climb into the TV and smack that mother!!!  Ugh, it seriously reduced me to tears.  I cannot imagine treating Nolan that way.

It blows my mind!  I looked at my ticker last night to see if I was in the double digits yet for days and realized OOPS!  I'm waaaaay into the double digits.  Where did this pregnancy go?

That said, short of an increase in heartburn and hip pain, I'm way more comfortable this time than I remember being with Owen.  I'm hoping that means that I'm cooking up a smaller baby this time around.

Aside from that, I am totally not ready.  I have to order Owen's big boy bed, put up extra shelves in the closet, sort clothes, get the bassinet out of the attic, etc. etc. etc.  I can't believe I'll be packing my bag in a few weeks...I need to find a coming home outfit for her, too.  Ai yi yi.  As soon as the holidays are over, I need to get crackin'.

How about you?  How are you feeling??  Are you ready?

SERIOUSLY.  I only saw a little bit, but it was so painfully awful.

  • OMG I haven't checked the how many days to go on the ticker until tonight either...mid-60's?!?!?  Whoa!!

I'm feeling absolutely exhausted...like I have chronic fatigue syndrome or something...I think it's because we've been going nonstop since Thanksgiving and now I'm sick so that doesn't help.  I feel like I have so much to do too - we're getting Jake a toddler bed for his birthday so we need to rearrange his room to accommodate for that and the crib (since he and the little missy will be sharing a room until we move).  Oh, and as for size, I was measuring a week ahead at my last appointment!!  The midwife said to expect a baby 1/2 lb to 1 lb larger than Jake (so freaking SCARY!!).   We'll see how that goes...
