I haven't cooked in over a week...
And it feels SO GOOD!
I love cooking, I really do, but it gets tedious sometimes. I haven't cooked in a week. For one reason or another we've just been eating out with our families, or on our own for a week. I love this time off. I'm feeling like I'm ready to get back in the kitchen, though.
I certainly don't miss the dishes.

Same here! I need to start cooking again though, all this eating out is getting in the way of my working out/eating healthy plan.
I planned to cook tonight, but I forgot to take meat out of the freezer. And I hate defrosting in the microwave. So we'll see.

Put it in a bowl filled with water, then let the tap run as low as you can, even a heavy drip is ok. Let it run in the bowl, which causes a circulation and that helps the meat thaw quickly. We thaw out frozen chicken breasts this way all the time & it take less than an hour. The water should be flowing out of the bowl, and make sure it's cold water.
Then what's my excuse for not cooking?
I'm going to do this, thanks for the suggestion.

Just pretend I never said anything, and You're Welcome!
haha.
I have been so bad about cooking! It's just a busy time of year...plus I don't know about you, but my family always goes overboard at Christmas and we always end up with TONS of leftovers!
I finally used some leftover veggies today to make broccoli, cheese, and potato soup in the Crock Pot!

That sounds delicious! Can you share the recipe or how you make it?
