I just can't get a break.
I'm home from visiting my Mom and sister. The trip was good and I was glad to see my Mom and help my sister out a little, but it was very bitter sweet, too. She is dramatically worse than when I was down in August. I will be surprised if she makes it another six months, which would be almost exactly the 18 months they gave us when she was diagnosed.
Furthermore, I didn't get on the schedule for surgery tomorrow, so Jim took a day off from work for no reason and I have to wait until God knows when to end this nightmare and hope that the union doesn't give him grief about taking another day with less than 24 hours notice. This year sucks.
