Someone tell me about Arbonne.

I went to an Arbonne party the other night and was highly annoyed.  It basically was an attempt to sales pitch me into selling for them.  Her first line was:  "You were chosen to attend this party by your consultant because they believe that you are the cream of the crop--that you are interested in health and wealth and are willing to sacrifice anything to achieve your personal goals both physically and financially." No, thank you.  We're not at the bar and I'm not looking to get laid, so no need for the cheesy ass BS pick up line.

I was also shocked at how expensive their products are.  I was somewhat interested in their vitamins and protein shakes, but then I got the cost of them.  Basically it's around $130 a month for VITAMINS.  Yes, you take approximately 6-7 pills a day, but dayum, people.  That's horseshit! A pack of 12 protein shakes?  $33.  I think I'll stick to my Special K.

I used their baby line with B when he was younger and really liked it.  It wasn't heavily scented, and their products worked well.  I also liked that they didn't have a bunch of cheap fillers and unnatural ingredients in their products.

Does anyone use Arbonne?  Is it worth the ridiculous cost? Maybe I was just appalled at the woman's approach and determination to get me to sell for them?  She heard SAHM and she was on me like krazy glue.

Re: Someone tell me about Arbonne.

  • I know nothing about Arbonne, but I'm laughing my ass off at her sales pitch line. Hilarious. I can't imagine paying $130 for vitamins, hopefully someone can fill us in....
  • Went to a party once that a friend was hosting, bought some stuff, and my skin reacted very poorly. The consultant was surprised to know that both my sister and I had problems with their line. I wasn't that shocked as we both have weird skin.

I think it's overpriced for what you get. Get some Oil of Olay at Target or something. Same result.

  • I tried Arbonne one time. There were so many steps to their skincare line it was overwhelming. There were literally like 6 lotions and moisturizers I rubbed on my face. It made me break out.

I used their baby stuff too for Cooper and I liked it pretty well. But I'm not too picky about that kind of stuff Smile

  • I went to a party when I lived in Omaha. I was rolling my eyes at the sales pitch. I forgot what she said, but she was blasting regular makeup and I knew it was not true.

I am a simple skincare person.

  • I went to one when I was pg with V and it was the same thing.  She heard I was going to be a SAHM and it was on.  She even said something about how I didn't have to sell to other people, but if I got people under me or just used the discount to my buy stuff I would be helping her out.  It was VERY high pressure.

I also used their products on V when he was little and they made him break out.
