Visiting NYC this weekend, 3 quick questions
Hi girls. I'm heading to NYC on Saturday for a few days. I used to live there, so I'm very familiar with the city. But, I've got a few questions for you...
1) Is there still a lot of snow on the ground? Just wondering if I should bring my snow boots (or other waterproof shoes).
2) I can't remember, is everything (restaurants, stores...etc) closed on Jan 1?
3) Can you recommend any good places somewhat near Times Square for breakfast?
Thanks!
Re: Visiting NYC this weekend, 3 quick questions
LOL...I try to keep my time in Times Square minimal so I don't blame you there. Our hotel was way cheaper than others not in Times Square, so I had to book it. But, I'm pretty familiar with the city and subway. So, if you have suggestions elsewhere, please share
What about finding a restaurant on 9th ave in Hells Kitchen - very close to Times Sq., but not uber touristy. Eatery and 44&X (on 10th ave) are good options. And definitely bring warm waterproof shoes - if there isn't a ton of snow it will still be slushy and wet. (think intersections with mini ponds of slush/water).
