Sigh. Can't get this out of my head.
We came home from our Christmas trip today to find out that one of our neighbors died earlier this week. He was either skiing or snowboarding and went missing overnight and they found him dead. It's not entirely clear what happened, but it sounds like he hit a tree. I just can't believe it. 29 years and old and just, bam, gone. We weren't close friends with him or anything, but he lived a few doors down and everyone in our apartment complex pretty much knows each other at least on a casual basis. He was always sitting outside his place, and we'd chat. Super friendly adventurous guy. People are putting candles outside his door. Had an awkward conversation with the girl who lives next door who is good friends with him.
